The best hotel
Its my second time here within the past few months. The hotel is amazing and so much to do every day. Extremely clean and well presented. The animation team are so friendly and always want to make you feel welcome. I will DEFINITELY be back again

2nd visit after a 6 year break
We travelled here 13-9 to the 25-9 as most people there, it was the only destination left where you didn't not have to quarantine returning to the UK (we missed it by a week)! I wrote a review when we visited in 2014 and I could almost cut and paste. The hotel itself is very nice and the pools, grounds etc are fantastic. Once again the only thing we felt let it down was the evening food, although there is lots and lots of choice, it always seemed to be warm, we did give it a good go but by the 4th day we found ourselves eating out again (which we did the last time we we went). The language barrier is still a huge factor in the restaurants and simple things to ask for became very hard although all the staff were very friendly and helpful as they could possibly be. .. The entertainment team during the day tried to keep everybody happy, we always played the darts with Murat at 4pm and that was a great laugh. feel free to ask me any questions

shame about the drink
Lovely staff, food, whilst nice, not your normal English breakfast available. Pools absolutely fantastic, but the biggest downer is the Alcohol again. (Mitsi grand in Rhodes the same). Will never be back due to the weak/non existent alcohol %. Drank all week and never even felt tipsy. Sorry guys but your alcohol is non existent. I bought some from local shop, had one can, and i knew I had a drink, my wife and I drank all night in your hotel and I could walk on stilts I was so sober. Sad you have lost us, just for that reason, we, unlike some English like to get merry, not incoherent, but we just felt we had been drinking water all night. Very sorry but never again at this hotel.

Fun times
Got to Antalya after driving from bodrum and didn't have a place to stay. Local taxi driver recommended sherwood exclusive lara. Taking his word for it abbage, my friends name, and I arrive to a great warm welcome and promptly met manager. He gave us a big discount on a two bedroom suite for 100us a night and thats all inclusive and we can drink and eat..! The porter there is a good looking very friendly guy. His love for cats almost surpasses mine. He not only does his job but he takes in all the kittens for shelter when its cold and shows them so much genuine love it can bring you to tears. My stay here eventually came to an end as I had friends to meet in downtown Antalya so it was with a heavy heart I made my way off leaving a great group of people id galvanized a bond with. Upon arriving at rixos I immediately felt away from home. Its a beautiful hotel and definitely all the bells and whistles but I was missing my home away from home at sherwood. Once settled in I realized I had left my adapter and charging cord for my canadian phone behind at sherwood 30 min away. Not worth the cab ride for a 15 dollar investment i wrote it off but I was craving the best steak and seafood I'd had a week earlier so off I went to eat. A few drinks in and decided to walk back to sherwood two days later. Once back at sherwood the manager saw me and I asked about my charger. He told me to relax sit back to a familiar spot...obviously...lol..and he would retrieve it. I asked him if I could enjoy more drinks and perks from his hotel I WASN'T even a guest of and he promptly and without hesitation said sit drink and relax as long as u like for FREE. Who does that!? They do. So inconclusion if u want great people who go above and beyond what you expect come to sherwood executive lara and feel like home without a care in the world. I will be back in March and I will be here without a doubt

Lacking a bit of glitz, but good all the same.
Weve been to Lara Beach previously and whilst the Sherwood was a nice hotel, it did lack the WOW factor that others on the strip have. Reception is HUGE! You drive past the hotels waterpark to get there (slides were brilliant). The first room that we were assigned was on the roof and as soon as you opened the door all you could hear was the air-conditioning rattling, the room was really small so we asked to change rooms and were moved to another block. The 2nd room was much bigger and brighter though it was so plain I can barely remember anything about it! The buffet restaurant was always busy, we travelled just after the first COVID-19 lockdown, you could no longer help yourself to food, all buffets were now behind glass and served to you. Tis reduced the number of stations that were available. The food itself was absolutely fine, we are not fussy eaters, it was fresh and hot! My only complaint, as always, is the salads, where they put mad things in the salads such as ham or fish which is no good if you dont eat those things. Also when you asked for salad they always give you a tiny weenie little plate and couldnt comprehend that I wanted a big plate full. The dining room was sectioned off into various little rooms, some of them were adults only, some of them were aimed at families. Service was a bit hit and miss depending on the time of day, breakfast was absolute chaos, it was a struggle to find a table and you werent always asked whether you want to tea and coffee. There was the most amazing fresh OJ available but nine times out of 10 I had to go and get this myself. We didnt use any of the à la cart restaurants because we really werent bothered and we prefer to be flexible about what time we can eat, but we did eat from the main snack bar down near the beach on the lunchtime where the food was really good. You ordered from the menu and it came really quickly. There were pizza, kebabs, fish etc, plus salad, but the salads we are absolutely tiny tiny tiny portions, so if you fancied a light lunch you had to order about three. There was also places to get ice cream and waffles or pancakes. Near the theatre there was a another area serving flatbread things (cant remember the name of them) but it wasnt very well advertised and we didnt find it until our last day. There was also another place again near the theatre doing wraps on a lunchtime, again its not very well advertised or signposted and again we didnt find it until two days before we were due to come home. The Pools - there were lots of different pool areas, however the pool area versus the bar proximity was a little bit strange. The adults only pool on the roof of the shopping area lacked brollies so you had to get there early to get an umbrella otherwise you were absolutely sweltering. Someone came round very occasionally to take drinks orders but certainly by no means frequently. The nearest bar to that was the amphitheatre which was quite a trek really. The main pool area where the activities took place was family orientated and again didnt have a bar. The only pool bar during the day appeared to be at the snack bar or at the amphitheatre. The pool and grounds were really well maintained however we spent most of our time on the pier when we could get on it! Again there was a lack of brollies and it was sweltering so you had to be up with the larks or go late afternoon to reserve a spot. No bar but they guy came on roller blades pretty frequently. As I mentioned we had our lunch at the snack bar but we also spent most evenings at the snack bar too when it turned into an outside music event. Every evening they had singers or DJ or karaoke, l people generally joined in and it had a more grown-up feel about it than the other entertainment which was more family orientated. The shows in the amphitheatre were the standard shows that you would expect to see at this kind of hotel. In doors there was a couple of bars that overlooked the grounds, you could get a late night drink but there wasnt any entertainment. Whilst we were there, a point to note about the bar situation is that we are vodka drinkers and it was only the bar at the amphitheatre that gave you a proper Smirnoff and a proper diet Pepsi when you asked for it. All the other bars gave you random vodka that they claimed to be Smirnoff, it wasnt. We often walked to the amphitheatre bar just to get a nice drink. We snuck into the hotel next door couple of times as we had family staying there and Ive got to say that every bar we went to in that hotel when you asked for a premium drink you got a premium drink a proper vodka with a proper little bottle of Diet Coke. The shops in the hotel were pretty rubbish, the shops outside the hotel along the strip were much better. Overall we would always go back to Lara Beach because I think its fantastic but the Sherwood would not be my first choice there is absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel its just lack the glitz and glamour of some of the other hotels that are just a bit more fancy and feel a little bit more special.
