AverageVery average. While the grounds are awesome and beautiful the hotel lacks staff in the right places. We have been there multiple times and never seen anyone at the pool bar area, leaving you to have to walk inside to he restaurant bar to get anything. A lot of the rooms, although very clean, are musty and smell damp and moldy. The food is decent, although if you are there longer than a week it gets very repetitive. If Sergi is still there he is the BEST! He can handle anything you need in or out of the restaurant! He is a great guy and always happy to help. He speaks great English too so that made things a lot easier once we found him. I would go back, but I would probably book into the Sheraton next door for the extra bit of per night. It's not a huge price difference. Better rooms and more food options!

Very average hotel, terrible food, hopeless service8 of us stayed here mid March for 3 nights on our annual golf tour to Asia. The rooms are ok although the rest of the hotel, looks tired and old, the beds comfortable enough, but it was the unbelievably bad service and food that really left us amazed. We ate one night in the restaurant off the lobby and were offered the choice of the buffet or a la carte, we looked at the buffet and seriously there was nothing left, and what was there was dried and totally unappealing. We ordered from the menu just after 8 pm and it took until 10.15 to get a few hamburgers, won ton soup and some fried rice. Most of this time was taken trying to explain to the waitress what we wanted as she didn't speak a word of English and made a number of trips to the kitchen and back again, seriously what sort of training, or lack of, do these people get? Not even the basics, just unbelievable. While we waited I was watching the kitchen staff fool around like idiots, laughing and carrying on, absolutely no supervision, I mean where's the F&B manager or assistant to kick these clowns into action? The check in staff were just as bad, no English spoken at all, I tried to change some money and the guy behind reception just said 'no' and walked away, it was only when a nice Russsian lass took over that I was able to change some $A. We stopped at the bar down stairs where they have the claypot, can't remember it's name, and we struggled to get cold beer, let alone make them understand what we wanted. The breakfast buffet was ok, as long as you got to the food before the Russians stuffed it all into bags and took it away. In all a terrible stay and I don't know how Sheraton can put their name to such rubbish, they obviously don't care much about their brand

Clean and comfortable rooms and pleasant hotel environmentWe chose this hotel as it was close to the The Dunes Golf Golf Courses (East and West) where we played on 11 and 12 Nov 2017. The breakfast spread included local and international food which we enjoyed very much. The facilities at the hotel were good but we were out at the golf courses most of the time and had little time to enjoy most of the hotel facilities..

Hotel is fine, but rooms need better maintenancdThis hotel is big, and consists of a number of connected 6floor high towers. The finishing looks great from a distance. My room had a wooden floor, something I like. But, it looks like it urgently needed a new finish layer to protect it to the sun/rain (be aware, this is a tropical area, it can rain a lot! It is hot and humid in this region, so air-conditioning is necessary and it works very effective and very quietly. But, the air does not seem to be very clean looking at the dark spots around the ventilation area. You will find a big bed with different pillows, all good except for the cover below the mattress: this one was dirty (looks like different shoe-shine spots). Again good: you will find 2 water bottles for coffee/tee, and 2 in the bath room. What did not work well was the WIFi, and if you connect, make sure not to use google as this does not seem to find anything. Also be aware that things like WhatsApp do not work in this hotel. Breakfast serves both Chinese and Western tastes. You will find e.g. croissant, small cakes, toast, baguette, but only one type of jam. If you want coffee, you will be served if you ask for it. You can also take if from a coffee machine, provided you can read the Chinese signs. I also had a lot of issues to get the hotel bill, I had to go back three times before they were able to provide itand it was still wrong. This is not because they dont want to support you, but language remains a big problem if you are not a Chinese speaking person. To be fair: you get great value for the money. Since this is also a vacation resort, you must be aware that there will be more noise than in a business hotel (kids playing, people talking loud,..) One important remark that can save you a lot of time: if you travel in China by plane, make sure to print the boarding pass on PAPER! You will not be allowed to pass security without a paper version. This also applies when you have a transfer flight! I lost a lot of time by only having these boarding passes on my cell phone.

Need some improvement at receptionJust arrived in this hotel, I am spg member, reception was only having one staff we are having 3 rooms it took 25 minutes to register at counter while other 2 were waiting for their turn. The machine which register ID/Passport was not working well. Rooms are as usual when last time visited there is no change. Its comfortable.
