  Recomiendo a todo el mundo que piense en hacer un tour por China que coja la extensión a Sanya y vaya a este hotel....es impresionante Piscinas entre una autentica selva natural....con playa privada., personal por todos lados ofreciendote toallas de playa, cocos con pajita y te colocan hasta la sombrilla...todo un lujo..fué una luna de miel inolvidable El buffet impresionante....se cena en el hotel muy barato... un piano en medio de la recepcion sin parar de tocar...una limosina en el hall y un ferrari rojo para los clientes.... La habitación era enorme y el baño precioso....tiene plasma de 42 pulgadas con canal español-.------ Debeis probarlo....yo no creo que pueda economicamente volver pero si vas a estar en China es muy recomendable...

  Give this a miss

  Negative: AC strength is poor and dirty, we changed rooms twice due to AC not working in rooms. Our 2 month old baby developed breathing difficulties due to bad AC and mold that was visible in the elevator lobby area on our floor. The pool are has many mosquitoes that bite you even while swimming, we could not swim for longer than 15min before we had bites on our neck and face. Positive: buffet food is good quality for china. Afternoon tea is good and recommend. This was the most unpleasant of the 3 hotels we stayed at, shereton in Sanya bay is far superior and half the price.

  Discriminated by omelette chef!

  Three days ago, I wrote about how the hotel feels dated and old. Little did I realise then that these are really trivial compared to what I experienced during breakfast today. As Tripadvisor only allows one review per hotel within a three months period, I decided to delete that review for this more important matter. I could live with old and poor facilities, but I will never take it lying down when been blatantly discriminated, more so by someone of the same ethnicity! I am so livid! Staff at the hotel were generally nice and pleasant, especially the housekeepers who always greet me when passing thru. But apparently, someone in the management forgot to tell the omelette chef, who was wearing a chef toque at the level one restaurant (a staff member told me his last name is Li) that everyone should be treated equally. It doesnt matter whether you are black or white, or yellow or red. I had ordered an omelette from Li this morning and was told to return 10 mins later for it. I returned after 10 mins diligently and Li told me that there were orders before me and I had to return in another 10 mins. At this time, a white lady approached Li and he enthusiastically asked her omelette? and immediately showed her the fillings that she could choose, including chesse which was hidden from my view all these while. After she had chosen her fillings, Li proceeded immediately to roll her omelette. I immediately protested and Li gave me a bulls*** reply that he couldnt speak english and thus served the white lady first. I challenged him by asking what has speaking english got to do with rolling omelettes and frying eggs, and didnt he just said omelette in english? Li totally ignored me. It took less than 5 mins for the white lady to get her omelette but it took me almost 20 mins (without cheese which was not offered to me)! If there a Foreigners First policy in this restaurant, I should be informed and also get to enjoy preferential treatment especially since I was 100% born and bred overseas. Should I go a step further and color my hair blonde or hang my passport around my neck, so that Li recognizes that I am not a local Chinese and I can be served immediately? No, I am proud to be an overseas Chinese and will never take the Chineseness out of me. I took a photo of Li but after much considerations, decided against posting it out of a basic respect for a fellow human being. But I am livid and will definitely make a complaint to Marriott International! #AllLivesMatter

  Very average service

  The hotel is dated, but they try to maintain it as much as possible. The furniture are very old and sometimes smelly. The resort itself is very nice with lots of green areas. The service is very disappointing. Had to ask/fight for basic amnesties in the room what should be there already, had to make several calls and push the staff. Due to the typhoon or room got completely flooded because the drainage on the balcony was clocked. I had to ask them to change the room, they wouldnt even offer, and they wanted to downgrade us to a much smaller and cheaper room saying same room types are all full. That is when I requested to talk to the duty manager and all of a sudden there was a free room. They just keep trying and lying. In a 5 start hotel this is completely shameful. There were more disappointing occasions that really not worth mentioning, the list is tooo long.

  Golden Week holidays

  All in all we had a good time at the Sheraton, the staff is very friendly and willing to help out, direct beach access is awesome, breakfast so so (had plastic cups the first day but got that fixed after asking for normal coffee cups, pretty busy area during holidays, chairs are too deep for the tables, plastic tablecloth) believe most was implemented because of the kids and to prevent any damage. Hotel is old but in okay shape, very clean though. If you expect a luxurious holidays, this is not for you. Looking for convenient easy days at the beach you can freely book the Sheraton at Yalong Bay.
