Clean and very friendly staffStayed here for a weekend with some friends. The hotel is in the middle of the city so it was super convenient. When we checked in Preston at the front desk was so friendly and nice and was quick to make any accommodations he was so great. The room was super clean and the hotel in general had a great vibe. Thanks to Preston and the staff for making it a great girls weekend.

Not what it used to be!Where to start! We have been staying at this hotel for over 15 years unfortunately we probably won't stay there again. Upon checking in and accessing our room, the toilet was clogged with old toilet paper, and the refrigerator we requested was no where to be found. The T.V. offered no stations and you could not even rent a movie if you wanted. As far as enjoying a walk outside, I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to get constant harassment from the newly devoted homeless shelter/section 8 housing people taking up all the street benches and asking for money. Most businesses are closed, the streets are empty except for the homeless people, and there is graffiti and vandalism everywhere. Total disgrace to Raleigh.

Needs a deep clean! At a quick glance the hotel is fine but once you look closer in the rooms youll see that everything needs a good scrub... Even without the COVID 19 situation. The per night room cost does not reflect in the quality of rooms.

Just okayWe stayed here two nights based on reviews. It just wasnt what we expected. The room was dated and small. Disappointed the rooms didnt have mini frigs. Due to Covid there was no room service which was fine, but they didnt leave any extra towels, shampoo, soap or coffee and we were there for a couple nights. I went down to the lobby for coffee the second day and no coffee. They had a coffee shop on the second floor which was also closed. I went to the desk to ask for extra coffee and they didnt have any and recommended to go to Starbucks a block away. At least the parking was free on the weekends but across the street.

Theyre working really hard!I stayed for two nights while working at the convention center across the street. Easy access and convenient. Check in is tricky because you park downstairs and have to go up a floor to the lobby. Didnt help that only one elevator was working but they opened up the service elevator to alleviate the crowd. Luckily an employee offered to help me and he kindly negotiated my luggage cart through the kitchen. Check in was quick and she kindly gave me the lowest floor possible. Room isnt huge but comfy beds and dark curtains. Shower water pressure was some of the best Ive had in a hotel! Had a nice view of downtown. I had called ahead for a refrigerator, they dont come with the room but can be placed in the room upon request. At checkin I confirmed my request and she said it was in the room but it wasnt. Kind young man brought one that didnt seem to be working and returned with a brand new one. Day two after working 12 hours something was wrong with both key cards and had to make two trips down to the lobby to get it fixed. Remember the broken elevator? I got my steps in! Woman working the desk was very apologetic, let me use the secret access back to the service elevator and comped me a beverage - well worth the trip. Wish I had gotten everyones names. Check in gentleman was wearing a firefighter logo and the woman at the desk on Saturday night was working around 9 pm on Feb 27th.
