It's getting worse ?This time, it looks like they ticked us off for the "after the stay experience" form, which normally reaches us by e-mail. We can imagine why. And we imagine that we had been not the only ones that week-end. Front desk seemed understaffed, even longer waiting times than usual for the mini cars, Jacuzzi out of service the first day, no pool towels the whole afternoon on the second day. The last 2 stays we had troubles on check-out at front desk. We had been overcharged for taxes when using Agoda the last time (that was luckily corrected after insisting) and this time they announced at reservations 2900 CFP for each breakfast and we had been billed 3100 CFP. We do not enjoy the misinformation which is definitely one persisting problem in this establishment. We explained that we would like to pay what we have been announced but that was declined with a big misplaced smile saying that we would have no prove of it and therefore we would have to go and fight for our right back at reservations. And as clients coming so regularly, we should know all this. Just imagine, we stay indeed approx. every 3 month for one night since years now and just the last 2 nights alone have cost us about 2000 USD, and the receptionist is saying somewhat in an uneasy way into our faces that she is not trusting us and that we should go elsewhere with our problem. A little bit more costumer orientated would have been : Ok dear guests, I would like to make an exception for you and reduce your bill about 6 USD but there was some misunderstanding during your reservation. We apologize if it was on our side. WOW - one returning costumer saved and valued......for 6 dollars :) We love this place, the mostly very friendly people, the beautiful and impressive hotel structure, the kids club (yeaahh), the pool.....it's just wonderful. But some things are not well handled here. We will come back one day but scheduling a break for now and explore the many other options like beautiful gites and lodges which are popping out of the ground in New Caledonia recently. Big thanks to Juana (?) and Elisa at reception, Marc the mini car driver, Océane at the pool area and so many other good people here. May the 4th be with you.

Stunning location, amazing accommodation, excellent staff, beautiful food.Stunning location on the beach. Beautiful for morning walks, at times you felt you were on a deserted island, being the only ones there. It was so peaceful and picturesque. However the best time by far was sunset, sipping cocktails as the sun went down over the ocean. We also enjoyed a morning treck to capture amazing views from the hill in front of the resort. The cabins were beautiful and the beds, so comfortable. All of the staff were friendly, especially Dylan on the front desk who was so helpful and knowledgeable. The pool was also beautiful. The only down side is how expensive everything is in NewCaledonia, but thats not exclusive to this resort.

Warren "all-you-can-it" Buffet is gone!'I returned there at the invitation of a couple of friends passing through the region. We had dinner together at the restaurant which offered an all-you-can-eat buffet. One can legitimately be surprised that for a hotel that claims 5 stars, there is so little choice. Lets judge: the starters came down to shrimps, sashimi, cold mussels, a tabbouleh salad, common cold meats (two different sliced sausages) and that's it! A total of 6 hot dishes of any kind without any search for creativity or even extravagance: we stay on the platform of the station of the taste journey while watching the train of surpassing oneself, the desire to do better, to do more go away. It's a shame, the setting and the architecture are so exceptional!

Do not go - bad service and over pricedWhat a trip. Four nights here what a nightmare. We have travelled to many places and stayed in many Sheraton resorts so I was truly looking forward to this place and some snorkelling well I was ready to go home within 24 hours. Pros Comfortable pillow and bed I can see a gold course which I heard is great Cons Very Remote with no activities apart from a pool and kayaking/ paddling in lagoon Staff have limited English No shade over pool Over priced - as I sit in the hotel room waiting for room service which has a $30 aus surcharge, meals have been supplied incorrectly and you have to speak to multiple people to try and get this fixed To participate in snorkelling you have to pay for a 10 min taxi to activity centre, this is the same for other activities as well No shop Limited range of food and food very overpriced Our room is 700 m away from reception/ pool and restaurants, you can hire a bike a day for $15 to get around or walk Accomodation a long way away for children and families and no flexibility for different configurations Grass over grown They talk about Fiji time in Fiji well they are speedy compared to here Staff really do not seem bothered to want to help Ran out of toilet paper and tissues at 10pm at night Our daughter stayed with us but they still seemed to only supply two towels, two sets of cutlery, even when we ordered room service for multiple people

Perfect family escape, in a beautifully crafted site. With our 2 kids (6-4yo) we stayed in this resort having purchased a special family package, where all kids meals were included - stay in luxe bedroom 216 (not bungalows). The Sheraton Deva is on very large site, next to the beach, well maintained, peaceful, decorated with taste. The bedrooms are large and clean, with a balcon. The bed is super comfy, large bathroom with massive bathtub and shower, delicate smell for the soaps. Very quiet too. The swimming pool is large although a bit deep for young children - it would be nice to have a dedicated area for them. Staff is friendly. The restaurants are excellent, staff is listening to special requests for the kids and always try to do their best to accomodate. The beach is beautiful although very windy and lots of dark seaweeds are not so appealing. The sea is super warm, and there is excellent snorkelling just 50m away from the shore. There are bikes available and electric cars to drive you to your rooms if they are a bit further out - kids absolutely love them (and adults too). Great kids club that was free when we booked, our kids were very happy - a treasure hunt was organised on the day they went there. Could be improved: we had to wait a long time for kids to be served, maybe bring some bread and butter on the table when we arrive. Some of the staff was confused with special family offer. Overall, a wonderful stay in a tastefully designed site, and friendly staff.
