Needs HelpI grew up in Metairie and when we come for visits we stay in the area, but usually at one of the other Marriott properties, but rates were considerably higher at the properties due to Mardi Gras season. As a Titanium for Life Bonvoy member I expect more from Marriott properties. We arrived very late - around 1:30 am, or a little later - and it took forever to check in despite the fact that I had already done mobile check-in. The associate was waiting on another guest and I'm not sure what they needed, but it took a long time. It was as if she couldn't find my reservation once she waited on me. She did not code my keys for the club level, didn't ask what I would like for my arrival gift, and didn't tell me what time breakfast was served on the club level. Because we arrived so late we slept in the first morning, and when I went up to the club level, after getting keys properly coded, we had missed breakfast, but I was able to get a juice. The next morning we had brunch reservations and therefore didn't go for breakfast, and the last morning we had an early flight, so missed it again. Last year when we had breakfast it was mainly a continental breakfast, but there were breakfast potatoes, but no eggs! Another guest asked about eggs and was told if they wanted eggs, they could go to the restaurant! The strangest thing about the club lounge is that it is not in a room, but in the elevator lobby! The two times we've stayed here there has been only one, slow, operational elevator. I participated in the green initiative to get points for not having our room cleaned. We did need an extra towel, washcloth, and bath amenities, so before leaving in the morning I saw housekeepers in the hallway and asked for the items. They told me they had no towels, and I would have to ask later on. They were able to find some shampoo and shower gel after searching for them. The carpets in the hallway are dirty and stained. There was a filthy, and I mean filthy, air filter in the hallway one morning. The room was also in need of updating. The headboard is padded and in bad shape - possibly all scratched up from rings scraping on it. There was no TV remote in the room, so I called the front desk and asked for one. After 35 minutes I had to call back as we had not received one yet. Another 15 minutes went by before we finally received a remote. As luck would have it, it didn't work the next day, so had to ask for another replacement. My husband couldn't find his Bose earbuds when we returned to the room one afternoon. He was 99% sure he put them in the safe, but we took everything out multiple times, and also look in and under the bed, the bathroom (where they had been plugged in), and in the trash. I went to the front desk to ask if someone could check and see if anyone accessed our room while we were out. They let me know that someone would come up and run the program on the lock. A few minutes later a maintenance person and a manager were outside our door running the check and they left. I never heard back from either of them. I finally went to the front desk an hour or so later and was told the maintenance person had left for the day. The manager was at the desk so the associate asked her. She let me know that no one had entered the room. I really believe that someone should have gotten back to us to let us know! We finally did find the earbuds -- there are small magnets and those were actually strong enough to adhere to the top of the inside of the safe! There is a parking garage, and there is no fee for parking. You access the hotel on the second floor. We never had to use our key to access the hotel from the garage. One good thing is that a great restaurant (Chef Ron's Gumbo Stop) is within walking distance!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!Can I give 0 stars?!? The room did not meet my expectations for a Sheraton or any 4 star hotel. The furniture was in poor condition, there was something that appeared to be blood in 2 different rooms, and the air didn't work in either room. I did not stay & had to find other accommodations. I was given a second room, but when I went to report issues with that room the agent would not look at my pictures & answered a phone call while I was mid-sentence. She didn't acknowledge me anymore. To add insult to injury, the front desk manager called me a liar when the 3rd party company called about my refund the next business day.
