  Much better than expected, truly 5 star in every way.

  Totally surprised by the accommodations and service of this hotel in a small city. The rooms are spacious and very well designed, separate large bath area with a city view from the bath tub. Everything is meticulously clean. Buffet breakfast is fantastic. A shopping mall and supermarket is just across the street. We will definitely be back.

  BEST HOTEL IN CHINA

  I was in China last Spring for my son's wedding in Changde. Before the wedding we traveled around China and stayed in 5 star hotels. All hotels were great, but when we arrived at the Sheraton Changde Wuling Hotel we found that this hotel was the best of the entire trip. for two reasons: it truly was the most beautiful and luxurious, and the service and attention we received was heads above the rest. The manager Joe greated us upon arrival and always spoke to us daily while we were there. I will always use this hotel while in Changde as I plan to visit with my daughter-in-law's family for many years to come.

  Stand out hotel for our Hunan trip

  The rooms are clean, modern, stylish and of a high standard. We were only here for a night but there was a gym and a indoor 25m pool, but no chance to use. We had the breakfast buffet and found a good mix of quality food for both locals and Westerners. Of the hotels we stayed in on our China trip this was the stand out hotel for the trip.

  A good choice in Changde

  My second time in this hotel (last stay 1.5 years ago). All good. What impressed me the most was their outstanding services - as good as resort hotels or other higher tier hotels. Got a SPG platinum member room upgrade. Their lake view rooms are nice and quiet (the other side facing the malls a bit noisy). Rooms has no smell at all. Great job! (Managing the smokers is a very difficult task in such small Chinese cities.) Considering the executive lounge is not open now - a coffee machine in the room would help. Services: very attentive / friendly / helpful / good smiles etc basically as good as the resort hotels or upper tier hotels. Executive lounge (very large and stylish with a great view of the lake/park) is being turned into a bar - so drinks and happy hour in the lobby bar instead. The hotel is renovating a new executive lounge. Hopefully also a nice one.

  Excellent stay

  Had a great stay two weeks back and just booked this hotel again for next Monday. The overall service standards of this hotel is on par with other famous brands like Kempinski, Hilton, etc...in terms of overall satisfaction. The staff are always eager to help and the rooms are nice and tidy. The reason this hotel beats the other fore mentioned brands is the price vs quality is truly exceptional...Cant wait till next week. P.s: this review might seem a little biased as I always seem to come back here after my wedding there back in 2014
