    Great place to stay

Made a roadtrip to Augusta for a family event amid the Covid-19 season (June 2020). Check in and out process was easy. Room as clean. Only drawback was that the restaurant/bar was not open (not their fault - Darn you Corona Virus!!). Witnessed staff cleaning elevators, lobby, and luggage carts. Staff was friendly. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in town.

    Awful.

We chose this hotel because the listing stated that masks must be worn throughout the building. The signs were visible throughout too. Shame no one took any notice, only the staff. I wish the staff would say something? One guy said 'hello' to the front desk with no mask, and the staff member just responded hello too?! Sanitizer was placed everywhere though. The room was OK, except we found a brown stain on our bed sheet! We would have called the front desk, but our room phone didn't work. We just removed the sheet from the bed. Our room was OK, club level, but no sign or information on complimentary food, bevarages or breakfast!? Our fridge didn't even work. We were told nothing on check-in, just asked to see my ID and credit card. The experience cost my family $141. Very poor. One hotel to cross off our list.

    Not worth the money

The hotel is very dated. That said - the rooms are bigger than the usual newer/more modern hotel rooms. Thats about it whats positive. And that the staff was friendly and helpful (we asked for a microwave which they brought to our room). The negative: The carpet is dirty, the pool was in good shape about 20 years ago (at lest it was open, indoor and outdoor), staff wore masks but almost non of the guests (and no one said anything), the coffee pads in the room were expired, we had hair from someone else in our bathroom, restaurant was closed at the weekend, ... The only reason we booked the hotel was because we called ahead and it was one of the few hotels were the pool was open. If it wasnt for the pool we wouldnt have stayed here (and after this experience we probably never will again). Go somewhere else.

Accommodating staff but a rough property

My husband and I recently stayed here for a week. We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. We stayed on the concierge level where in pre-pandemic times, we would have gotten breakfast. It was really nice of them to make up grab & go bagged breakfasts every morning for those staying on that floor. Most hotels during this pandemic are not making that kind of effort. The housekeeping staff seems to do a better job of keeping their masks on than at other properties too. The big downside to this hotel is the rooms. They are quite small and in need of renovations. The rooms smell a bit musty. Our carpet was worn and our drapes had huge water stains on them. They do not have enhanced wifi like many other Marriott properties. Their wifi was too slow for me to use for my online work. They do, however, provide an ethernet cord in your room so you can get better internet service that way. The staff at the front desk said they were scheduled for renovations this year and then the pandemic hit, so it has all been postponed. I do not think we will be back until after they finally get updated. It is long overdue.

    No member perks

I stayed here on business, its been a year since the last time I stayed here and not much has changed, but they do have the bar open. Still disappointed there is no more concierge level with snacks, etc. I have attached at picture of the forced entry door from RM 327, it you are bored you can read my review from last year when I stayed here and I'm pretty sure I got the same room, which is odd. But I did take notice, its the first thing i noticed once at my room. The door still locks but there is a fairly wide gap to see through.
