  Great for the price

  This is a very clean, organized, well located hotel in shanghai for the price. I will definitely stay here again when I need to cut down on hotel costs for weekday stays. It's a very close to the metro, the rooms are quiet, and everything is very clean and well stocked. The negatives? I had to run the hot water quite a while when it 1st came out there was rust in the pipes. They charge for Internet, 20 RMB day. Although they gave me a code when I checked in, so when I check out I'll see if that gives me a discount. I found the Wi-Fi to work quite well, and was even able to get on some sites that are normally hard to access. You can take metro line 2 from both airports to a few blocks from here.

  Rude staff and no air conditioning in hot weathers

  They refused to turn on the actual air conditioning even it was 29 degrees outside. They claimed that there was recycled air in place. They then claimed that it was the law forbidding A/C. The air was still not circulating inside the building. Then a rude manager used English to challenge our complaint and tried to upsell us another room. As a consequence, our child vomited on his clothes and soiled the bed sheet due to heat stroke. They then tried to penalize us for contaminating their room. We complaint to their housekeeping manager, who said the price we paid was a very good deal in such expensive area and that the hotel also needed to make a profit. She also said there was a huge difference between a 4-star and a 5-star hotel. We found the staff lack knowledge of customer service. We definitely wont come back. Other problems we saw include: dirty carpet in room; they always gave us near-finished roll of toilet paper after room clean up. I dont think they deserve a 4-star designation at all!

  Esta bien situado pero no es un hotel de 4 estrellas europeo. Estaba limpio pero no tenía ventana al exterior. El desayuno es variado pero el staff no hablaba un buen inglés aún así lo recomiendo por lo menos está limpio.

  Good, clean centally located hotel

  I stayed here at the beginning of August and it was a very good choice. The location was great a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station. It was in a nice area with some good local and foreign bars/restaurants. The room was really big and the bed was very comfortable. The A/C in my room could have been a little colder but it was fine as it was. Having a microwave and mini frig was great too, since a typhoon came through 2 days into my stay...haha the bathroom was nice and the shower/tub combo was large enough for me to actually take a long bath one day. Overall I had a really good time staying here and would again if I visit Shanghai again.

  Good clean hotel with lovely views. Does the job. Staff have very limited english which can be difficult. Allot of taxi drivers did not know where the hotel was either which was complicated. The hitel was value for money.
