  Experience at Shante

  A truly wonderful hotel located in the heart of the beautiful mountain range which surrounds this vibrant place. The rooms are moderate with a specious interior, spectacular views of the area and a very modern toilet. You would expect these hotels would have no WiFi, however it comes with WiFi that is private so there is. O need to worry. Staff who work here are extremely friendly and do their upmost duty of caring after you. And finally, the facilities are incredibly beyond amazing. It provides its very own game room, gym and massage chair which are free of charge. Would recommend to friends and family who are visiting Taiwan for the first time. I would give it 100 stars yet alone the 5 stars for its true hotelmanship.

  Exceeded our expectations

  What makes our stay most memorable is the service. We travelled with elderly parents and young children. The hotel staff were more friendly and accommodating than what we experienced at a five-star hotel in Ali Mountain. The hotel offered free shuttle to Xitou everyone 30 min from 9-5. Make sure you reserve your seat early because it fills up fast. For a hotel of this size we were pleasantly surprised by the activities it offered in the evening. The kids enjoyed the cookie making class and had a blast playing Xbox/Wii at the game room - both at no additional charge. There are other machines and games for kids at small charges. They also offered free personal photo key chains with Xitou as the background. Quite a nice keepsake. The breakfast buffet is mostly Taiwanese cuisine, which I love, but is lacking in western options which some may find disappointing. Dinner is good, not great, but we were satisfied after a day of trekking in Xitou. Overall this is a great place to stay in terms of value, location and service.

  Very nice forest walk.

  Very comfortable room, the shower was very warm & large, There was a very enjoyable dinner & breakfast, with both local and western food. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The mountain view from the room was spectacular.

  Its very wonderful and enjoyable while having year end holiday in such a beautiful place that I have ever been in Taiwan before!! Cool weather and wonderful mountain at high hill make me unforgettable in my whole life !! I would strongly recommend Taiwan is better living place !!
