  Stunning View!

  This guest house has a lot going for it: gorgeous views, comfortable beds, a nice shared sitting room with fire, TV, fridge, microwave, decent plunger coffee and tea as well as a big deck and BBQ grill outside plus good WiFi (essential for visitors from the USA!) I particularly enjoyed the friendly sheep and chatting to the host Rory.

  Great location and peaceful

  Rory and Ruth are a lovely couple who run a tight ship ensuring rooms are spotless, fire burning and any other needs catered for. The King room in the corner and Queen on the same side overlook the valley and both have own en-suite. Definitely a cut above some other tired properties in the area. A wonderful local winery called Sunnyhurst, Cider house/cafe well worth a visit and a very knowledgeable private and personalised tour guide available for small group tours of forest and flora and fauna in the area.   Magnificent view, hospitable host

  We enjoyed a friendly welcome to this delightful, purpose-built, B&B. Our room was spacious, well-appointed and clean, with a veranda opening out to expansive grounds with magnificent views. The lounge area is spacious and comfortable with a huge tile fire for warmth and a large entertainment deck with BBQ and pizza oven. We enjoyed our stay and would love to return with a small group to enjoy the ambiance together.

  Splendid place - Nice sunsets and sunrises

  Luckily we got there just in time to see the sun sets. It's such a beautiful way to see the sun go down behind those hills. We had a beautiful room facing the garden and a balcony attached. The bed was comfortable and the whole amenity clean. We were even allowed to use the barbie in the evening which was sitting on another balcony. It was bloody cold at night, quite unusual for October I guess. The host kindly got the fire place going. Breakfast was really great. And I was allowed to pick some lemons to heal my cold. :) Thanks for that. I woke up quite early, coz the sunrise is early too and to get going. When I looked out of the window I saw that was I was hoping to see while being down in the south west. Fog was hanging in the valley. It was such a fantastic view. Love it. I can really recommend that place.

  Best B & B we've ever been to.

  We just recently had the pleasure of going to Bridgetown and staying at the best place we could have chosen. We have stayed at Shambala Guest House before and because of the lovely stay we had there always said we would love to return, so that we did. Once again the Owners Rory & Ruth did not let us down, and we spent a very restful nights sleep in a very comfy & spotless room, with the bonus of a balcony to enjoy the gorgeous views . Once again coming home from a night in Town to the beautiful welcoming fire and enjoying a cuppa before bed was a bonus. They have certainly worked hard at making this little place a real home away from home. So appreciated , and definitely a B & B that we will be recommending.
