  Beautiful Hotel and very accommodating staff

  This is a beautiful hidden gem of a hotel, tucked away around the winding back streets of Stone Town but still very central. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean with an old world feel to it, with beautiful old doors and furniture, full of character! We arranged an airport pick up through the hotel which was hassle free and made everything seamless on arrival. We arrived at the hotel around 9am as we were on an early flight and we were able to check in right away as the room was free which was brilliant as we had quite a few bags and had been up early that morning, so we could relax right away. Breakfast was included in the room price and it was delicious, a choice of pancakes or eggs along with fresh fruit and juice, tea/coffee, served outside on the terrace. There is also a stunning rooftop terrace which we didn't discover till our last night, but it would be the perfect spot to relax with a book or a drink and enjoy rooftop views. We had to check out early on our last morning, before breakfast was scheduled to begin, but the hotel staff made the extra effort to organise some breakfast for us early. They really couldn't have been more helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

  Very central, very heartful staff

  My girlfriend and I planned to stay there for 3 nights. In the end we stayed 6 nights, because we really enjoyed the place. The hotel is located right in the heart of stone town, though not easy to find, since its only accessible by narrow alleyways. The room was furnished very tastefully and we really liked the charme of the furniture, although the room was not very spacious. The room was absolutely clean and was cleaned everyday. They also have a rooftop terrace which provides a good view over stone town and the sea. The staff is incredibly heartful and welcoming, such that we really felt like home. In the morning they serve a delicous breakfast consisting of omelett and a tasty pancake.

  Small atmospheric Stonetown B&B in a slightly secluded location, great staff

  With only 6 rooms, this small bed and breakfast is decorated in traditional Stonetown manner. It's near the much larger Doubletree Hilton and Hyatt hotels, and within easy reach of all Stonetown shopping and restaurants, but not right in the middle of the shopping areas, so more secluded. The alley is too narrow for taxis to take you right to the door, so there is a short walk from parking to the door. Staff were extremely friendly and a good breakfast is included in the room rates.

  amazing

  Very near the beach 5 min walking, you can find restaurants, market, souvenir stores, everything you need. The hotel is samll but very nice to sleep. The atention was wonderfull. If I return to Zanzibar I will go there again.

  overall a lovely pace with excellent value for money

  Beautiful Zanzibarian style room which was clean and spacious. The AC was good and the bed big and comfy with the obligatory mosquito net. The bathroom equally spacious with a decent pressure shower albeit the head was iffy and sprayed the wall, but with some doctoring was fine. The staff were helpful and friendly especially Berita. The breakfast was limited and as hubby doesn't eat eggs he was a bit dissapointed with the alternatives which was just fruit. They did however warm him up some beans he purchased! the only real issues were the lock on the bedroom door didnt work and you could enter with a light shove. Its also mentioned in other reviews so this is not news to them but they pleased ignorance when i mentioned it. There was a safe but the laptops we needed for work didn't fit in it. the other issues is the room has a ton of lovely windows with white curtains but not so lovely when the sun starts coming in at the crack of dawn! very decent value for the price.
