  Road trip

  Chose this motel on the basis of other reviews which raved about its cleanliness which is very important to me. Yes it was clean enough but our room was quite old. It smelt of stale cigarette smoke which was disappointing and even though surfaces and bedding seemed clean, there were many cobwebs on the ceilings and corners that scared the kids. Had to squish a spider and some mosquitoes that liked to hang around the door frame outside. The owner/operator was friendly and obliging and we were surprised to see that they had some Tesla car chargers in the car bays. Pricing was reasonable for what was offered. Cleanish but time for some renovations, especially if trying to attract the Tesla crowd!

  Highly recommended

  The couple that run this motel are very welcoming and so nice. The rooms are clean most of all warm and close to everything. We always stay here when in town for our wknds. Highly recommended. Weve stayed here 2 years in a row, purely for the confidence in comfort.

  Great base to stay whilst seeing the sights and complimentary windscreen wash !

  Had a great 2 night stay at the Settlers Motor Inn last weekend . Great location to local shops and sights . When we were leaving on departure morning , as we drove out of the motel, we realized management had washed our windscreen as a complimentary, which was not only a lovely gesture but really helpful as it needed it after seeing the sights via dirt roads. My only suggestion would be to include a few plates and bowls and cutlery for take away .

  Stayed twice

  Stayed here twice now on work trips to Tenterfield. Both trips our room has been clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly, good old fashioned country hospitality. Location is good close to shops and pubs. I found the beds very comfortable. We will need to do another trip before year end and Ill be sure and stay here again.

  Friendly and helpful

  The owners are really friendly and helpful, gave lots of suggestions of things to see and do. The pool was a great benefit for the kids after a big day of exploring. Very clean and spacious rooms. Also having undercover parking was a great feature in summer.
