  Animation Entertainment!

  I had come to Turkey with a group of close friends. Despite reading all the bad reviews prior to our arrival at Serenis, I really enjoyed myself and that was purely down to the vibrant Animation Entertainment team - Charlie, Shaggy and Joe. They are the heart and soul of the hotel and make it feel like home. They were so welcoming from the start and always made sure we were taken care of. They new all the best spots and always kept us entertained. Despite leaving Serenis, I know I have made lifelong friends and have a reason to visit again - provided they are still there. In regards to the remainder of the hotel, it is clean and well-maintained despite the contradictory opinions of my friends who were less than content with their room conditions. The food was not great - I struggled a lot especially because I am a vegetarian. I was not too happy to learn Cesar, lobby manager, had made inappropriate advances to my friend and made her feel uncomfortable. His lack of professionalism was a big let down and made us feel like his friendly behaviour beforehand was a charade.

  NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL

  This hotel and it's service's DO NOT match up to the 5 star resort it claims to be, I would rate it 3 star max and that's being generous. Came here early June with a large group of friends for a nice relaxing cheap gateway. This is now my third time back in Turkey, Side and was so appalled of how little passion this hotel had towards it's guests and services from no free WiFi to finding the breakfast being left out from 4am ready to be served for 7am. Being a German or Russian speaker does have some benefits of being a guest in this hotel as english speakers were very limited here and were shown no care for. After all the crap this hotel offers the only thing that made this trip worthwhile and stopped us from walking out and finding another hotel was it's entertainment team particularly Shaggy, Joe and Charlie who went out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel at home. Their hospitality and genuine passion to ensure everyone was having a good time is something all staff here and especially the management should take note of. Last but not least, on our last day we were very disgusted to learn that one of the senior managers, Ceaser, tried to hit on one of our friends regardless of how many times she told him to stop and made her feel very uncomfortable to walk around freely around the lobby or anywhere in the hotel. After everything said, if your intension is to spend some time in the sun with a good swimming pool, free drinks and average food, fairly close to the beach then this hotel is for you.

  NOT THE FIVE STAR IT CLAIMS

  Travelled to Side, Antalya for a week with a large group of friends to enjoy a well earned break. On arrival to the hotel, whilst looking amazing from the outside, had many flaws we begun to pick up on immediately. Due to a mix up with hotels we were required to spend almost an hour discussing the problem with reception, which was difficult as most receptionists spoke little or no English at all. One particular receptionist, Cesar decided he would take every opportunity available to hit on one of our friends making her feel very uncomfortable. A lesson in professionalism would go along way with this individual. Whilst the food was not bad, we noticed that breakfast was prepared before hand and put out hours before time, something we found very unappealing as often it was not even properly covered. The rooms had little to complain about and were standard rooms but met all requirements. That being said however, there was a constant off-putting smell in one of our rooms which we were greeted with whenever we entered. Dispite all this the stay was actually a good one. Perhaps the best thing this hotel could have done was its animation team. In particular Shaggy, Joe and Charlie, three outstanding and open individuals that not only made our stay fantastic but also the stay of other guests as well. They were always ready to help guests with a problem and took part in incredible shows within the hotel. I think it would be safe to say that without these 3 individuals the chances of our group leaving would be very high indeed so THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING HOLIDAY GUYS and watch out for charlie's magic tricks!

  Amazing entertainment team!

  Came here on a friends holiday with a relatively large group of friends. The pool was relatively clean, rooms were a hit or miss, although one member of the cleaning team (who I can't remember the name of) always tried to cater to our needs even with a language barrier! The food was sub-par. Walking past the food court in the early hours of the morning, the food was left out hours before breakfast was even served. Not only that, the majority of the food was left out uncovered! Unacceptable for a hotel that classes themselves as 5 stars. Towards the end of the trip I was shocked to find out that one of the head managers at reception (ceasar) was trying to hit on one of my friends even though she said she wasn't interested. Actions like this are not professional non acceptable especially from management, and I hope that this member of staff is dealt with accordingly so that no future incidents take place. But on a final note, it's the Animation/entertainment team; particularly Joe, Shaggy and Charlie! Without these three special and gifted individuals, I can say with utter confidence that this would have been the worst place I've ever stayed at this far. They went above and beyond their call of duty to keep guests entertained and happy, and I can confidently say on behalf of my entire group, that if it wasn't for these three individuals, who I can now proudly call my friends, the chances of staying at Serenis hotel for the duration of the trip would be Slim to none! So Thank you guys for making this an amazing trip! Overall the hotel looked good externally, food was sub-par; but I would recommend this hotel to anyone as long as the three individuals mentioned above are still working there!

  **MUST READ before BOOKING**

  We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, 2 adults a child & a toddler. When we arrived at the hotel to check in the receptionist didnt even smile like as if that costs. He also had a problem with us requesting another card to access the room, which we clearly explained the reason we required it. We were advised we can use the internet free at the lobby or buy it, for 20 (a week) or 12 (3 nights) bare in mind I was in Marmaris a year ago & they would charge 1 Lira a night for the wifi & it was very fast. I bought the 3 night premium package but the internet was extremely slow it would take 10 minutes sending a picture thats when it worked, when I spoke to reception about it I was advised to come back in the morning & when I spoke to the reception the following morning I was told the manager (Cagdas Yildirim who is da rudest person I have ever met) is not available. Please if your considering buying the internet package dont waste your money. The food is not good at all its disgusting, dont mind the snack bar in the afternoon as they would have pizzas, burgers & chicken. We spent 120 lira for Taxi just to eat from McDonalds, when I read the reviews I didnt think it can be this bad. The staff & guests here are very arrogant, rude & up themselves especially the receptionist (Mustafa this guy is a certified idiot) I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone honestly its not worth the money & talking of money they do not exchange money for you if you ask for anything they tell you they do not know but if a lady in a bikini asks they drool all over her the PERVERTS. They cannot speak English at all which is shocking especially they have so many foreigners visiting this place, my toddler who is 15 months understands me better than the staff they just look at you in the most disgusting way. We were advised to check out at 12pm even though we had checked in at 2am the when I spoke to the reception manager I was advised to come the day of check out so he can sort something for me when I went the next day I was told either I can check out at 12pm & wait at the lobby till my shuttle arrives which was due to arrive at 7.45pm or pay 40 till 4pm I asked if I can buy a room for the night which would work out cheaper without checking availability there is nothing available so I questioned why I was not told this yesterday & he started to make out he doesnt understand me. Lastly this is NOT a 5 star hotel please do not be fooled its an average 3 star, I only stay at 5 star hotels as I always come with family & this is for from a 5 star. Its sad to say but I wanted out from this place within 24 hours of getting there but with Thomas Cook going bust all hotel prices tripled so unfortunately I had to stay. If you are taking a family this is not the place to come. Please try to avoid spend a little extra if you need too but dont go to this hotel. I wish I took the negative reviews on board. The only positive comment I would make is the bathroom was very clean.
