  Good stay

  We were group of 10 people and we enjoyed our stay. Location - its near to the town but I feel its little tough finding this place. Food - it is good and specially crabs. The made good Barbeque of crabs and breakfast was nice too. Caretaker - Mujeeb and staff were really courteous and they did everything to make our stay comfortable. Rooms - they were spacious and had individual bathroom for each rooms. Rooms were hygienic. Outside bungalow - Nice lawns with beautiful flowers and nice small lawn for golf put. The best is the Barbeque are. Overall good stay.

  lovely weekend at Senani Colonial Bungalow

  We visited there as family, December 2018. Situated in a very calm environment. beautiful spacious garden with wide varieties of flowers. Indoor environment was well matched with my classical taste and really enjoyed the stay. food was delicious and nicely served and experienced a fantastic BBQ. Thanks Mr. Majid and the crew for this fabulous weekend. highly recommend and we would love to visit again.

  Beautiful bungalow with very good food

  We stayed for two nights and did really enjoy our stay. The reception was very friendly when we arrived, rooms nice and food excellent. Very flexible manager and chief when it come to breakfast and dinner. Rice and curry, the best we had so far during our stay in Sri Lanka.

  Peaceful colonial experience

  A lovely space not too far from the center yet away from the buzz Our days away from the Colombo heat were blissfully filled with -tea times in the beautiful rose garden -Reading by the cozy fireplace -best vegetable soup from the meticulously kept organic farm on the property itself, you can pluck your own strawberries, herbs, carrots -yummy homemade jams for breakfast -nice Walks around the plantation and nearby waterfall -the caretakers story telling and the useful what to do tips -Long sleeps and naps -cool crisp air and hot water bottles at night -sweet birds baths in the garden -Family time with Games and laughs Thank you to the owners for sharing this lovely home. We will come and enjoy again.

  Colonial accommodation

  Hidden amongst other buildings, but slightly elevated is this colonial era house where previous prime ministers and ministers have stayed. The property is owned by Wolfgang (we didnt meet) and managed by Majeed. We had the whole bungalow to ourselves. There are four bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms and a lounge with good tv and a fireplace that is lit upon request. We felt right at home and Majeed and his team did an exceptional job of looking after us. There is a lovely terrace to enjoy a drink outside and a vast array of vegetables growing amongst the terraced hillside (worth a 5 min discovery walk). Breakfast was great and the dinner we had delicious (egg and potato curry, chicken curry, salads; etc.). The kids enjoyed the food.
