Superb base camp for adventures in the areaI came here with some friends on a weekend in October to climb some via ferrattas in the area (which was awesome!). The staff is friendly and most speak perfect English, and act like they are genuinely happy to have you as guests. They score tops in the three things that are important to me...clean room, good (and free) breakfast and free wifi. Cooked to order eggs, fresh yogurt and fruit, cereal, cheese, etc.,. Room had a balcony overlooking the mountains. Wifi signal was strong in room and downstairs. They have a spa but I was too exhausted at the end of a day of climbing and biking to use it. I highly recommend this place and this will be my go to hotel when I come back.

Perfect base camp to climb the Preiner Wand and enjoy the areaWe usually prefer the Boutique - with charm - hotels. This one is just the opposite, it is IKEA-ish. This being said to enjoy the outdoors, the Rax mountains, it is well located and with a decent price for Austria, under 100 euros for 2, breakfast included. Breakfast is decent but the only warm item are eggs. There is a sauna and a hammam. Rooms are spacious, very light and toilet is separated from the bathroom. It also includes closet and desk. The staff is helpful for good restaurants in the village. I recommend Schloss Stuben and Reichenauerhof.

Very pleasant stayThe surroundings was very quite and clean. There was a big car park, so we had no problems with parking. We have not faced any issues during our stay. The staff was very nice, obliging and friendly. I'd like to appraise chef also. :) The food was fantastic (we had breakfasts and suppers). We tried sauna, everything was perfect. The room was smaller (with extra bed), but it was nice and neat. So to sum it up, it was worth staying.

Friendly staff, good food, beautiful area, but too high room pricesThe hotel is directly at the Rax, a 2000m mountain in Austria. It has a great view on the mountains, sits in a beautiful park and is easy to reach. The staff is very friendly and the food really good. Just the room prices are too high for how they look. The rooms are simple and the beds are not very comfy. Also the "fitness room" consists exactly of four devices: 2 home trainer bikes (work ok), one cross trainer (pulse detection defect and a very awkward device) and a broken treadmill. If the rooms were prices per room (not per person) it would be ok.
