    family feeling

You feel yourself like at home. The food, the dining room , the staff is old fashioned in the best meaning. The smile always you meet them, the help you, they take care of you. Don't hesitate, come and enjoy !

    Poor service and freezing cold

This might be my single worst trip experience. I'm a part time student and needed a place to stay for two nights. I've never minded much where I sleep, so I went for the cheap alternative. I'll just write about the bad parts, as I can't bring myself to try for a balanced review. Look to other reviewers for better experiences. When I arrived, they seemed suprised to see me, despite med having reserved in advance. They also asked me to pay cash, as they had trouble with their card solution, og their accountant was off duty or some such (it was a bit hard to get what the problem actually was. Anyway, it was fixed the next day). I had reserved a room without bathroom (don't mind simple standards), but they were out of rooms in that category, and gave me an upgrade instead. That was nice, but pretty much what you expect when such a situation arises. What you don't expect, however, is a downgrade 15 minutes later. I had setteled into my room, and discovered the main lightbulb was burnt out. I went down to the reception and asked for a new one, and offered to replace it myself. That's when they found an extra room for me, and asked me to move there. That was kind of a downer, taking back the upgrade they had just given me. It wouldn't have been too bad, though, if the new room hadn't been so terrible. The ceiling was so low, I couldn't stand up straight, and had to take extra care when moving around, not to bump my head into the lamp or the smoke detector. And to add insult to injury, the room was so cold, I had to wrap myself in the comforter from the bed in addition to wearing all my winter outdoor clothing to keep warm. On the positive side, I didn't need a refrigerator to enjoy a cold beer.

    Cozy and small

Nice and cozy hostel. Room was comfortable (3 bed room with bathroom) and bathroom modern and clean. Beds were OK. Good first impression. Quiet neighborhood and free parking. Breakfast disappointing, with little to choose from and empty before everyone got to eat. I did not see anyone working at the hostel during my five days there, which I find strange. I communicated with the staff by email to get internet code and ask about breakfast hours. Internet was slow and much of the time it did not work. All in all we had a nice stay.

Modest but comfortable accommodation - fully priced

Situated on a back section and accessed by a narrow driveway the absence of a front desk and only one other guest on the night made this a quiet spot to stay. Room 10 was a twin, clean but fairly spartanly furnished. The bathroom was sparkling but the shower box was small. There was no TV in our room but a communal TV room next to where breakfast is served (the door to the left of the front entrance). There is pleasant outdoor seating for reading or writing when the weather is nice.

Potential to be cozy, but wasnt

We arrived in the afternoon and there was no one to help us out. We found a note with our name and a key. My mothers room was not made up and we had to call for help. There had been a mix-up and we found the right key in a box. And then others arrived and the chaos was complete. Some did not have a key, others had to wait for the room to be cleaned. Our rooms were big and spacious, but cold. Seiersted is and old and cozy building that need some serious TLC. It had a dusty smell and I was glad I only stayed one night. That being said, I would live to see Seiersted in the summer, renovated and dust free :)
