Fabulous hotelOur family stayed for two nights and had a wonderful time. The staff is helpful and friendly. The location is on the lake with beautiful views. Very peaceful and relaxing. Our teenage children enjoyed the paddle boating. Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was excellent except for the "rocking chair" playgroundWe stayed here for four nights in the heat wave of July 2019. So, keep in mind this hotel (and none others in this town that I am aware of) is NOT air-conditioned. Reception was lovely, the room was big and fine. The breakfasts included were excellent. A lot to choose from. The restaurant attached to the hotel and under the trees was average but the setting made up for the food. You go to eat and drink there to cool off and relax. The "beach" is a minuscule stretch on the water with a ladder to get in the lake. Or you can jump off the dock. Not knowing how deep the lake was or how cold a little iffy for me. The few available chairs looked like they were permanently taken. LOL. Just like the pool chairs at other resorts. We kept our windows open full time. Luckily the bugs seem to be non-existent. With the fan on during the night we managed to get some sleep. The beds are them-purpedic which is like sleeping on a heating pad in my opinion. And for whatever reason the pillows were really weird and lumpy. But the WORSE thing was the kids screaming. Let me describe the evening in our room. We get back from a lovely dinner, the food is good in this town. Wash up settle down around 10:30pm. It's cooled off a little, fan on, dead silence outside. Smells great. After a big day of hiking and walking it doesn't take much to fall asleep. Then out of the blue the screaming starts. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. The town has installed these two large rocking chairs below the windows of our hotel. Parents bring their children down to play on these things and imagine every night a playground outside your window with the kids climbing all over these things screaming, laughing, and yelling. We can't close our windows due to the heat. It usually lasts from 11pm to midnight. What a nightmare. They need to a least lock them off somehow during the open window season. It is the only noise at that time of night in an otherwise peaceful setting. (see picture of chairs attached). I have lots of children! I love kids! However I would not stay in this hotel again because of those chairs! If you are a light sleeper and the windows need to be open you will not be happy.

Salzkammergutt GenSaint Wolfgang was one of our favorite places during a 2 month visit to Europe. The lake is exceptionally beautiful and the town is simply charming. We were lucky and had a clear day to take the cograil to the top of the adjacent mountain top for a magnificant 360 degree view of the area. This included more than 3 of the major lakes and the forests, meadows, valleys and cliffs in the northern edge of the Alps. Seebockenhotel was wonderful. We selected mainly because of the excellent Trip Advisor ratings and we found the the ratings were fully deserved. We can't wait to get back to this idyllic spot. We had all our meals at the hotel and their restaurant was excellent. P.S. We had planned to go to the famous St. Hallstaat but found Saint Wolfgang so amazing that we just stayed there our whole visit.

Very nice, well located, excellentWe loved this hotel, we had a lovely balcony overlooking St. Wolfgang. The room was massive, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was in the breakfast room overlooking the lake and was fresh and plentiful. Parking was about a five minute walk away in secure parking. The location is right in the centre of town. We ate at the restaurant both nights as it is right on the water and the food was excellent. We really enjoyed out stay and would highly recommend.
