    Great breakfast view

We traveled in summer in hakodate and spend two nights there, the hotel is typical japanese, the room clean and with a great view. One weird thing is that you can sometimes smell smoke in the common places like someone is smoking in the hotel. The breakfast is traditional japanese and the view you have over the sea is just amasing in the morning, just for that the visit was worth the money.

Nice view if you like seaside

We stayed for 2 nights, all hotels are fully booked during the Japan golden week in May'14. Our room is a smoking room so the air is pretty bad if we on the aircon, so I opened the window. But my friend had to be in fully gear since she's not used too cold environment. The staffs are friendly but again lack of English or Mandarin speaking staffs. But one of the staffs was very nice to call our next hotel destination to arrange pick up from JR station. The breakfast is Japanese traditional type, although I prefer international or American buffet than Japanese type. But the food is still fine. If you are not comfortable in a smoking environment hotel, then this hotel should not be your choice. There is only wifi in lobby area. On our next shopping trip, we bought a air fresher just in case other hotels we encountered a smoking room. If you drive, then the hotel's location won't be a problem. Parking is free but you need to quote your car plate to the reception.

Compact Rooms on the Outskirts of Town

Like most of the other reviews noted, this hotel is right by the sea, which was very nice. The rooms are rather old and quite compact. The furnishings are slightly aged, but functional. It was rather clean, but the double bed was smaller than a regular one, which resulted in quite a squeeze. The room was slightly stuffy, and the windows only opened a small way, but it was enough to air it out. The location is on the outskirts of town, so finding food may be a challenge if you do not intend to drive. The nearest convenience mart is a 20 minute walk (in Japan!) If you do, the parking at the hotel is free, although limited. The staff are very helpful, but they do speak limited English. The breakfast was was really good and the dining room had a good view of the ocean.

Interesting Hotel outside of town area

A reasonable hotel not too far from the JR Hakodate Station. We took a taxi to and from the hotel which was only Y790 going on Saturday afternoon and Y630 on Sunday morning which we thought was very reasonable. The hotel lift was slightly old-fashion and the doors closed very quickly so you had to be fast with your cases. Our room was facing the open sea which seemed about 20metres from the hotel and we were there during a typhoon which was rather scary but no problems. We only saw two male receptionist which spoke little English but were helpful. The hotel seemed to be in a residential area but there was a nice 7-Eleven not far away.
