Very GoodSeashells. We stayed Feb 2020 for 9 nights. The accommodation, 1 bed apartment on 4th floor, was good. We liked it. It was well furnished, the stuff was not dated, and was well equipped with hair dryer, microwave, fridge freezer, cooker, dish washer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Kitchen was also basically equipped with cooking equipment, ( you couldnt do cordon bleu) crockery and cutlery - basically 4 of everything. There was a TV ( no dvd and no satellite) which showed only Australian channels. There was a cool and funky telephone in the bedroom which was programmed with numbers and info. The WiFi was free and very good. Wardrobe space was more than adequate, the safe was free to use and the bed was large and comfy. It cost us $70 from Perth airport by taxi. It cost $55 to Perth station to catch the train. The apartment block was opposite a supermarket - very convenient, opposite a fish and chip shop and close to the George quarter ( coffee, restaurants and drinks) and an easy walk to The Swan River. There is no swimming pool or gym ( there is a gym next door) but there is a bar/restaurant on the 6th floor called Sweetwater. Youre not really near anything - this is not beach side. It is a 50 minute walk to Freemantle ( and thats no fun in 40 degree heat!) and there are some hills. You couldnt walk to Perth. But there are bus stops just by the apartment block in the main road - the 910 takes you both into Freemantle and Perth and runs every 20 minutes or so. The fares are zonal and tickets are valid for about 2 hours so you could buy a ticket on the bus to get to Freemantle railway station and then use it for the train to Perth. There are also free CAT bus routes in central Freemantle and Perth once youre there which take you around a circuit and there is no charge. Be aware of a couple of things. We had room 87 and it overlooked a car park and other apartment blocks and it picked up a bit of noise from the Canning Way in the near/ mid distance. Rooms on the other side would pick up a bit more traffic noise as they are adjacent to the main road. Our balcony did not get the sun at all, which may it may not matter. I would probably try to avoid the 5th floor as there would be noise from the bar/restaurant directly above it. We got a bit on the 4th floor but not a lot. We could suggest a very few small tweaks: provide a balcony drying frame with pegs, which is more environmentally friendly than a tumble dryer; provide a simple map/ directory showing where the flat is in relation to bus stops/routes and directions to places; and, also dont book anything without reading/checking out the Perth/Freemantle guides as they offer 10-15% off with discount codes. This may not appear much but if youre doing the wine cruise for two , for example, you could save over $50 and over 4 or 5 trips this will add up. If youre a senior then everything is discounted so bring proof if you are young looking like me! Overall, no complaints. Thanks to our hosts. The apartment is excellent. The reception staff, although not there 24/7 were excellent and very helpful, the flat was perfectly maintained. As a self catering deal its excellent if youre ok with the location as a base from which to travel around.

Lack of service and no WifiI went to Freemantle for work. No one at Reception before 8.00 am or after 4.00 pm, so never saw any staff and no one to speak to for enquiries. I called the 'Emergency after-hours service to find out the Wifi login and password codes. Was given incorrect information and after 50 attempts called them again. Still incorrect. Following day someone emailed me a code (no message or explanation) - presumably the correct one, completely different to what I was given the day before. Why is no flyer with correct Wifi info attached to book-in papers? Hopeless service. Very frustrating.

Thank you LindenMy husband and I stayed at Seashells Fremantle a couple of nights before we were to board the Queen Mary 2. At 6.26am we received a message from Cunard saying they werent boarding any passengers that day due to the virus. Needless to say we were disappointed and a bit distraught, especially as wed flown across from Sydney. Linden at the front desk was fantastic and empathetic. He immediately asked if wed like to stay on while we worked out what next. He blocked out a few nights for us and was happy to do so for other guests who were also supposed to sail. We told him we really wanted to have a relaxing holiday as wed been dealing with the fires and the loss of our house. When we explained what we were looking for Linden had a number of helpful suggestions, one of which was Seashells Broome, which we have since booked. While the hotel was perfect for us and wed stay there again, it was Linden and his lovely, calm, friendly, empathetic demeanour we appreciated the most. I hope his boss reads this and gives him a pat on the back, and a raise!

Outstanding service!!Great two bed apartment in an ideal location for Fremantle, Perth, Rottnest Island and the many beaches of the surrounding area. Our stay was made all the better by the great customer service of Lindon, the guy in reception daily who was always helpful, cheerful and interested - credit to the company!

Like staying on a nightclubMusic from the sweetwater wine bar is ridiculously loud. All we could hear was bass for hours until it shut. I would not recommend staying here if you are hoping to get some sleep. Apartment was good however and in a great location.
