Descripción general

This Victorian hotel stands only metres from the beach and enjoys dramatic views over the Ayrshire countryside, the Firth of Clyde and the majestic mountains of Arran. It is no surprise that Seamill Hydro is one of the best loved and most popular hotels in Ayrshire, with its mix of Victorian grandeur, modern comforts, personal service and arguably one of the best locations of any hotel in Scotland. The hotel accommodation is flexible and offers something for every budget and our restaurants and bars something for every taste. As a family owned and operated hotel we are also delighted to welcome families to come and stay with us, with our kids menus, designed by the local school, our great fun kids club and loads of stuff to keep the whole family happy including HydroSpa, spa and leisure facilities. HydroSpa, our leisure complex offers hotel guests and private members a heated indoor pool and air conditioned gym and also features HydroTherapy our exclusive spa, for all the pampering you could desire. Our brand new Orangery Restaurant takes full advantage of it’s location on the Ayrshire coast. Looking over the grounds of Seamill Hydro and on to over 100 square miles of land and sea. The Orangery features an expanse of glass offering unrivalled views across the hotel’s landscaped gardens and out over the Firth of Clyde and the islands of Arran, and, in the distance Ailsa Craig. Although the stunning and unique location of the Orangery restaurant make it the first choice for many, it is the superb quality of food and the exceptional service that will keep you coming back.

    Fabby family stay

We were staying with a 10 month old and my disabled father. Staff were absolutely fantastic. They couldnt do enough to help us out and make our stay magical. The hotel itself is very pretty and our arran view room in the country yard was lovely and spacious and perfect for our 10month old. My parents room in the main hotel was lovely and spacious and the views from both rooms were amazing!! The food was proper scrumptious with plenty of choice. All in all its lovely family hotel, great service and views. Defo worth a visit and we felt very safe as they had lots of measures in place for covid.

    Brilliant staycation!

Safe environment, very friendly and helpful staff. Mary & Sharon at Reception and Natalie at the breakfast service in the Aura deserve a special mention for their friendliness and assistance. Also Claire and Pam at the beauty salon for excellent treatments. Staff at the Orangery were brilliant and the food exceeded expectations. It was a lovely break which we enjoyed tremendously. We stayed in one of courtyard rooms which had a lovely sea view, great for couples with a kids as it has a separate living room to the bedroom. Room service was prompt and food was great.

    Excellent

My wife and I have just returned from another fantastic stay. Normally, to celebrate our birthdays, we would be somewhere abroad but this year closer to home was the order of the day. The wonderful Seamill Hydro was an appropriate alternative. We stayed in a Signature Room with a great seaview. The hotel are actively doing a great job to make guests and staff safe during these trying times. The food we enjoyed at dinner and breakfast was quite simply amazing. Very many compliments to the kitchen staff and also to John (among others), whose service at dinner in the Orangery was just superb..thank you. Reception staff were so very helpful once more. Lauren was particularly helpful when I phoned in advance of our return visit for current information re-covid. The only downside for us that, as regular visitors, our birthdays were not acknowledged quite as expected. We do,however, understand that things are quite different and that the hotel might be unable to compliment all "special occasions"..

I missed my last ferry home due to a medical mishap - and Seaview was not only open but welcoming at my frantic phone enquiry and gave me good directions. The lassie on the desk was brilliant- sorting me out a mobile phone charger as my stay was obviously unplanned! Hot bath and lovely smellies (Arran Aromatics Lime, Rose and Sandalwood - if you like them too then buy at the hotel as they do a great offer much cheaper than buying on Arran) Was hungry but sceptical about eating in - so was delighted to find the menu was excellent and the food was perfectly cooked and presented. It was really sad ovid rules ment I couldn't have a glass of wine with this meal as I thoroughly delighted in every course and wine would have perfected it. I enjoyed the food so much I would go out of my way to eat here again. Good night's sleep, poor breakfast but Covid restrictions were mainly responsible - plus my need to rush to get to my ferry. Will definitely stay here again - missing the last ferry will no longer be a problem!! Thankyou all for your care and attention!

    LOVELY CHRISTMAS STAY

This is the second Xmas running we have stayed at the Seamillys Hydro. It is such a beautiful place with the premier rooms in the original old building superb. We were booked in for 5 days but with the new covid rules coming in we had to leave early. This did not spoil our stay at all and the staff couldnt have been more helpful. I had recently been in hospital with a heart attack so a bit paranoid about sitting near anyone in the lovely Orangery for all our xmas meals. The dining staff were so lovely and so helpful findiding us a table away on our own with no one close. Even on Xmas day they managed to give us a lovely table right at the front in the window with a great sea view but no one close. The food is just superb, and every breakfast and every meal excellent. The room is huge with a huge bathroom all with spectacular sea views. 10/10 again Seamills and thank you.
