Cute inn on the lakeThe inn has a nautical theme. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. There is a restaurant and spa on site. The inn is located in front of the Leamington dock and adjacent to Seacliffe beach.

Don't goMy wife and I did an overnight on Dec 30th, 2019. At first glance everything looked okay. Then you realize there is no phone in the room. You have to call with your cell phone and leave a message. It takes a few minutes for the receptionist to return the call. I wanted to have a coffee with the Keurig and I tried to turn it on and it didn't turn on. I looked in the water reservoir of the Keurig and posted a picture. Would u want a coffee from this? I went over to the fireplace to turn it on and couldn't. So I called and left a message with my cell. The receptionist said it should be working but because it wasn't, then we could move to another room which we did. The room was up another level (3rd floor with no elevator). The Keurig was much better in this room. Being that it's winter we wanted to have natural gas fireplace on but once again no fire. Once again we left a message. The receptionist was kind and tried to find a reason for the fireplace not to be on. Apparently the owners are away for 9 days and probably didn't want the fireplaces to be on. Nice of them to tell us prior to renting a room during the winter. When watching TV I usually put on the night table lamp. But it too didn't work as the switch couldn't click over. The heating system was a disaster as well. We had to open the windows because the heating intermittently went on even though I had turned off both the room and fireplace thermostat. To give u an idea of how hot it was, we left and I turned the thermostat to 70F. We returned and it was 82F. The heat was kicking out through the ceiling vent. (Some of my wife's chocolates melted under this vent). So we had the window open with gusting lakeside winds keeping our room at 72 despite the heat being off.. Taking a shower should be enjoyable. Well the shower tub didn't drain very well. The bath towels are not your luxury kind. They're like large hand towels. If you like loofah pads in the bath you could have used these towels for exfoliation. These towels were absolutely rough on your body when drying off. I had called earlier as well to leave a message to see if our room could be discounted and the receptionist said no.

Very nice inn on the lake. The good: Great location. Right on the lake and a two minute walk to the ferry for Pelee Island. The restaurant wasn't open due to Covid19. We were upgraded to a Lakeview suite which was awesome. The room was very spacious and very clean. The linens on the bed were lovely and fresh smelling. The not so good: The bed wasn't the best, a bit tired. The pillows were all lumpy so they need to be replaced. The air conditioning didn't work very well. It was extremely hot when we stayed and I think it just couldn't keep up. It was 78 F (26 C)in the room. The little coffee machine needs to be descaled as there are a lot of lime deposits preventing it from working properly. Also black out curtains would be a nice option. We would still happily recommend staying here though. It was so nice to look out at the lake every day and watch the ferry come and go.

Seacliffe Inn - Location is perfect! If you are going to do Pelee Island Ferry, you can't get a better location. We had room 205, overlooking the Lake, and directly in front of the Ferry dock. Price was right at $159.00. I tend to move furniture around for a great experience as we like to sit and have cocktails prior to heading out for dinner. Put two chairs in front of the window and enjoyed the view prior to heading downstairs for dinner. The room itself is huge with King Bed, sitting area, table and chairs if you want to eat in, coffee machine, fridge. A bit dated, but we were just using it for easy access to the morning Ferry. We went to the grocery store for breakfast stuff and were able to relax in our room prior to heading to the Ferry. The restaurant in this hotel is excellent! My sister went prior and found the same experience. We ate on the patio overlooking the lake and Ferry dock and the appetizer of Pate was awesome, Veal chop was outstanding, and the local tomato salad with blue cheese was amazing (so much so, I have to make it at home now). Wine selection was good as well. Loved all of the china and serving dishes as well. The service is outstanding and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. We ate here both nights. On Saturday they also had a singer/guitar which was very nice. I would give the restaurant 5 stars for sure.

sagging mattress, poor lightingI really wanted to love this Inn. The location is great (walking distance to the ferry, pretty much right on the water) but there were too many things that ruined our experience. I even loved the fact that it was self check in - that feeling that you are not in a big chain hotel, the quaintness was appealing. However, that is where the 'positive' for our stay ended. We stayed 2 nights in August. The room was ok, although I haven't seen thick, plush carpeting in a hotel room in a very long time. After a very long drive and dinner, we were looking forward to relaxing in the room before a busy day on Pelee Island. To get to the point: The negatives: Lighting - the only lighting in the room was a bright fluorescent ceiling light. There was one small lamp by the bed but the light bulb was out .. we tried several outlets and taking it out and putting it back in (being no front desk service, I called "Dale" from the info sheet that was given - straight to voicemail - we were tired - so let it go). So either super bright light or pitch dark (even with the TV on - it was very dark). Mattress - in all of my years of staying in hotels - I have never slept on a mattress that sagged that much. My husband and I sank to the middle. Again, by this time of night, we just dealt with it. Bedding - the top comforter was white, which I mostly like in hotels, except that white shows dirt and stains. This was one was no exception - it looked like it hadn't been washed in a long time. Also, there was no mattress cover - so the sheet (thin) was right on top of the mattress - again - I don't think I have even been in a hotel room where there was no mattress cover. Not the most pleasant feeling. Mold - there was a fair bit of mold in the bathroom. A line of black mold up the one corner where the shower surround and wall met. Also - there was a lot of orange mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. Hair Dryer - in the morning - no hair dryer - by this time there was some staff about - I went out in search of a hair dryer - no luck - they didn't have one. Not the end of the world but just one more thing Noise - our room seemed be directly next to all the air conditioning units that ran pretty loudly all night - one of them had a special 'knocking' noise that was especially disruptive. Cleanliness - I didn't feel this room was really that clean. There were no indications that any extra cleaning protocols were taking place (during COVID) This mini vacation was precious, much needed time away from the stress of family and life. It was not relaxing or restful mostly because of the state of our room. We were busy during the day - so the sleeping part was most important to us. Between the awful lighting, uncomfortable mattress and noisy air conditioning units, our time here was not at all enjoyable. We would not recommend this Inn or come back again
