  Filthy and poor management

  This hotel looks good from the outside , but quickly shows itself to be very poorly managed . From the unprofessional girls on check in to the filthy rooms with dirty sheets and dirty carpets ... this hotel doesn't fail make you feel dirty, unwelcome and saddened. After checking in noticed the sheets had not been changed since the last guest ... after calling house keeping the lady came in and started to complain that the sheets looks fine .. dots of blood and spit from peoples mouths on pillows must be acceptable at this hotel. There are insects in the bathroom due to the wet and broken tiles.. the carpets are really dirty and you can see they have not been cleaned for a very long time.. breakfast is also bad ..

  An average experience

  The hotel stands tall in the environment and seems well built. However it does not seem suitable for a international traveler. Knowledge of English was near zero including the receptionists. Being a vegetarian was specially tough here. Google Translate saved the day. There was hardly any choice for TV channels in English.

  Grand but old

  The hotel is located near Zhapu port area and is suitable for visitors travelling for business here as not many hotel options in the area. The hotel has 280 rooms and is big but old. The carpet and the furnishing shows signs of ageing and maintenance is not upto mark. The staff doesn't speak english and with great effort i found one of the manager who understood english. The breakfast offered is mostly chinese, for international travellers their is milk, sausage, white bread and eggs. Their is a swimming ppol, conference room, money changes, ATM and other facilities.

  The best in Zhapu

  Old and unmaintained, carpets are stained, cigarette burns on bed linen and towels older than me. Breakfast is cold and doesn't have options for an international traveller. The staff don't speak English. This is what you have to settle with if you don't want to book a room from the neighbouring town.

  Not for business

  The hotel is what they say the best in town . So I wonder how bad the others must be as I was not happy with this one . The hotel lobby is about the only thing that looks very clean and new. The rest if you look well is not very clean. The staff dont speak ONE word english and arent very friendly either , no smile , nothing. The rooms are with aircon but that only works when it is above 26 degrees due to energy savings. The internet is very bad , slow and not stabile . definitely to slow to watch any live video / tv. the breakfast is for European very bad but also my chinese colleagues said it is poor. no bread other than a bit wet white sandwich. no proper coffee and no service at all. the bed and shower were TV is only chinese . For business this isnt a nice place to stay but again seems there isnt much better in this town. Due to the fact they dont speak english you can give any feedback to staff .
