Best place to stay in Moalboal

I stayed 6 nights at the Sea Turtle House and I loved every minute! This place is absolute paradise. Peaceful and relaxing. Away from the crowd but close to town on a scooter. Rooms are spacious, quite and super clean, bathroom has hot water and everything is very eco-friendly. The garden and common areas are very well designed and it fits perfectly with the surrounding nature and its maintened in order every day. The owner Stefano and his wife Ninita are very generous and welcoming. You can relax all day in front of an amazing reef. You can go snorkelling every day and explore the area in absolute peace and watch turtles swimming around you. Location is great. Restaurant serves generous and yummy meals and the staff is incredibly helpful if you need to organise something just ask and they can help you out. It felt like being part of a family. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to chill out in heaven. Thank you guys I will be back.

Nice Hotel but far from everything.

We spent 2 nights in Moalboal, both at Sea Turtle House. Firstly, we arrived and were given welcome drinks, which was unexpected and very delicious. Additionally the room was very spacious and comfortable, and the grounds were also very large with many seating/lounge areas. However, we found that Sea Turtle House was a very long was from everything, making it inconvenient to buy food anywhere else but the hotel restaurant. Not only that, to get anywhere you need to hire a scooter or tricycle. As we planned on doing tours and island hopping trips, this turned out to be quite annoying. White beach was about a 300 meter walk along the beach at low tide, or 1km walk along back road at high tide. The restaurant at sea turtle house was overpriced and average. Along with everything else they offered, over priced (snorkel and mask, P250 for two hours. Scooter, P500 for a day) The staff however were very friendly and would do anything they could to help us. They made our trip much better by ordering tricycles for us and assisting us when we needed. This hotel is better for people who want to relax inside the grounds rather then explore the town. Although it was in a lovely location and very comfortable, it was not suitable for the trip we had planned.

    Remember with nostalgia

I stayed in the hotel 4 years ago and I sill remember it like one of the best thing that happened to me. First of all - the hostess! Nice and warm women and her food! Amazing. Second - so nice corral riff just on the beach with turtles and so beautiful corral garden with colorful fish. One day we were offered to take share boat trip with other tourists and it was unforgettable experience. The third thing - Mango! It was the most delicious I ever ate, we bought it in Moalboal on the way. If you be here try to buy "Marang" fruit in the market. Fantastic taste. I strongly recommend this plays for tourists who value nature, simplicity and sincerity.

Good hotel on secluded rocky beach

This is nice hotel on a secluded rocky beach. Room was basic, and aircon was noisy. But there were sunbeds on the beach, clear water, nice corals and sea turtles if you are lucky to see them. I saw a turtle just once. Good for couple of days.

    Needs Help

Me and my family stayed for 5 nights and were highly disappointed in the overall condition of this motel. The bathroom smells like someone urinated on the walls when we arrived. Im pretty sure the bed is 20 years old and you feel the frame with every toss and turn. We were told we were suppose to checkout before our time was up which is unprofessional. They require a deposit of 1,000 pesos for renting the snorkel gear. They claim the deposit is for the upkeep but the snorkel reeks of mold and funk. They obviously just want the cash. They claim to have life jackets for all the guest which is a lie also. Political pictures also shouldnt be present when you visit a hotel. Many people dont align with your thoughts so you should keep them to yourself. Obviously you arent from the USA so you have no clue what is going on there. They overbooked guest and was forced to kick guests during my stay. The worst this was terrorist propaganda that I read in the welcome area. Im well aware that bad things happen in P.I. But I feel they print this to deter you from using different options for tours, transportation etc. Dont be fooled. Stay At your own risk
