  Quick Airport Access Hotel

  Room is adequate for business stays where one expects clean bed and toilet. Helpful people. Not very organized. Food is good and portions are large. Since airport access is quick, it makes sense for a quick gateway and avoid the crazy traffic of Dhaka.

  Average Place with Good Location & Service

  Very near to the Dhaka International Airport with facility of airport pickup and drop. Room was clean, bed was comfy and the service was good. Included breakfast was okay, but the dining place can use some extra lights. Very near to the Uttara Aarong outlet also.

  Luxurious hotel

  Sea Shell hotel located at Uttara, Dhaka. The main thing that impressed me was the calm atmosphere which is missing almost any places at Dhaka. They have a good restaurent at ground floor. I loved their Thai cuisine most. Hotel is neat and clean with proper intercom system. Free WiFi, Heated Water, Cable TV etc included with room price.

  Very disappointing

  Unfortunately, I have to leave a bad review. This location was not a 3/5 star location like they state. The rooms smell musty and the must is strong. The air conditioning works well, but blows out musty smelling air. The beds are older and there are no fitted sheets so the mattress is easily exposed and is dirty. The room as far as cleanliness was as clean as it possibly could be. The restaurant downstairs was reasonably priced and the food was good. It is on the first floor with open doors so lots of mosquitos. The good thing about the hotel is it is very close to the airport. Their transport pick up was great. Had my name printed and ready when I landed. When leaving, however, they insisted on everyone regardless of time of flight to leave at 0700 even though it had been agreed at 0730 the night before. On check out I was charged 500 taka more than was previously decided, which was unclear why. They refused my credit card.I had a man help me to my room when I arrived, and he very much was desperate for tip. I didn't have any smaller bills and the front desk would not break my large bills to pay that man who was following me for tip. The restaurant charged my food to my room but made it clear that tip was not included and waited until I had pulled out some cash to give them tip to leave me alone. I would say overall the experience was very poor. The room was very old, i was a little grossed out the whole time staying in the room. I did not appreciate the service and the desperation of following or insisting on tip. English was not well spoken and so clarification on why I was charged more or what were the issues arising were unclear and awkward. Would not stay here again or recommend this location unless it is in a pinch.

  Amazing staff, not hotel

  Stayed in this hotel overnight before catching an early flight out of Dhaka. The staff was amazing, not so much the hotel. The staff was prompt, considerate and kind. The hotel: the AC was barely functional, the TV didn't work, some of the lights flickered in a most scary way, the bath towel was the smallest I have ever seen, the shower had terrible water pressure. However, considering I was only there for a few hours, it was doable. However, I would not recommend it for any more than a few hour layover.
