  Peaceful Nature refreshes our body & mind

  Our aim to Rayong this round was going to taste Durian buffet at La-mai Garden, so I picked the quiet place for one night rest/ refreshment. My criteria was medium to big size hotel. It may be wither local or chain hotel with price range not > 4,000 THB/ night. Sea Nature Resort was the answer with the price around 3,900 THB (2 adult + 1 kid) for Deluxe Sea view. When we arrived around 14:00, I was stunned with nice weather, breezy wind and nice sea view. We were welcome with the drink and waited only 15 minutes to check in. My first impression: The hotel is not big and all rooms have sea view. It means that even you choose to stay Deluxe Garden View on the 1st fl. You may see the sea by just walking toward to the pool, which is not far at all.

  Poorly Managed, not worth the money

  We arrived two hours before the check in time. The front desk got us registered and asked for the payment right away. We never saw a welcome drink as indicated in our booking. It was ok because most of the time for a hotel at this grade the drink is horrible anyway. I personally asked for a quiet room but we were given a room right below a family with small kids who run around the room through the early evening hours. The wall air conditioning unit is noisy even with the low fan settings. The room size is good with ample shelving units for storage. The pool is great. The beach is full of trash. The hotel is far from any stores or restaurants. Unless you have your own transportation the hotel is inconveniently located. The food at the restaurant is below standard. The staff need some customer service training. We will not return. It is overpriced for what we get.

  Rayong

  Never been in Thailand before I've spent few days in Rayong industrial area and use the sea star hotel ad accomodation, I've got a huge apartment to much for me but it was well cleaned and furnished expecially for the kitchen and the bathroom, location is ok and there is a big golf field. They don't serve the breakfast and I'm not sure they have any arrangement for the dinner, however in a radious of 1 km there some fair restaurants. There's no noise coming from outside due to the distance from the main road and courtesy of the receptionist is very appreciated the will host you with a fresh bottle of water. Wifi into the room was ok, tv has only Thai channels. Not close to the city of Rayong and no public transportation.

  Over priced, poor service, poor food

  I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Booked and prepaid the sea view deluxe suite, What did I get, 1st night garden view suite and 2nd night the room that i booked. Along with the inconvenience of having to move rooms mid day there was no reduction in price for the lower class room and as i had prepaid very little negotiating power, just the usual sorry nothing we can do. The hotel is nicely situated on a clean sandy beach and the swimming pool and gardens are very nice. The rooms are well presented though all rooms have twin beds and the position of the bathroom light switch behind the bathroom door was strange. The combined shower and bath tub was a bit off a mess as you flood the bathroom when you have a shower.. Each room has its own internet wifi box, unfortunately on our 1st night it was not working. The television channels are 95% Thai local channels. There are supposed to be 4 international channels however the ESPN was the only one working and the reception was poor. Lastly the food. Honestly very poor. The menu is predominately Thai food and the breakfast which was included was dreadful. I live in Thailand and my wife is Thai so my opinion of the food is not only as a foreigners perspective. Whilst we stayed at the hotel after sampling one meal and poor service we decided to eat at other restaurants nearby As i mentioned earlier this hotel appears to be catering more to local holiday makers viz the menu and tv channels then for a more cosmopolitan clientele and the prices are not cheap. The hotel could be a real winner if the service and food was improved to match the prices being charged. I am not saying dont stay here but you may want to consider other options depending on what you are looking for.

  nearly perfect

  check in at 11 a.m. was no problem, very nice friendly staff at the reception, big clean room with big balkony and great view over the pool and ocean. huge Pool with enough sun lounger and parasol. in total 4 Waterslide for enough fun. Beach in front of the hotel was nice, but not 100% clean, so i picked up myself some plastik trash, the labourer staff from the hotel prefer to watch me doing that instead of doing their job, cleaning the beach. The beach right next to the hotel property wasn t nice anymore, to much litter on the sand. some palm trees on the beach in front of the hotel would be nice, there was no shade at the beach. in total it was a nice stay there and we would come again
