Great trip in the hamptons!Exactly what we were looking for, great location and amazing beach. Yes its a big price tag but thats to be expected in the hamptons. The furniture was outdated but the space was very clean which is what matters to me the most! Great location and cant complain- would stay here again. We stayed in the ocean front first floor unit and it has a lovely big terrace that we all enjoyed. Only complaint is that the check in is at 5pm which I think is a little ridiculous and the pull out mattress was so uncomfortable. However would come back and would ask recommend to friends!

Buyer Beware terrible stay!!I had the misfortune of staying at the Sea Crest resort in the middle of August 2020. Upon entering the room and going to the bathroom to wash hands, we realized there was long strands of hair on every single towel in the bathroom. I requested fresh towels and open the bag to see more hair on those!! (Look closely at pics, as hair is fine and hard to see) We were disgusted. There was an old, used Q-tip on the floor and mold in the shower. This would be disconcerting during normal times, but during a pandemic....cmon. I ventured into the bedroom and the smell of mildew was so overpowering, it made us all nauseous. The kitchen was clean-ish but the dishwasher door doesnt open fully, because the refrigerator is in the way, so getting dishes requires a little work. The rest of the room was dated but passable, but the smell from the bedroom permeated the whole space. I complained that our room was unclean but couldnt switch rooms because they were at capacity. They offered housekeeping but we were uncomfortable with anyone entering, due to covid precautions. (We noticed housekeeping staff wore masks on their chins, not covering their face. ) In the end, we left for an afternoon so they could clean and the resort refunded us half a day. On a positive note, the location is stellar and the cabana boys were very kind and helpful in getting our beach set up. We were in room 55. Obviously, I would not recommend it.

Great getawayMy second time staying at the Sea Crest and very pleased with everything. I don't understand why other reviews are mentioning the cleanliness. The unit was spotless. In our Covid era, they even wrapped the remote control in plastic! I was very impressed. We had a beautiful room (#35) with an incredible view of the ocean. We brought our own food, and loved having the clean, large kitchen to prepare our meals. The refrigerator is even full size. Usually you get a tiny refrigerator in other resorts. The beach access can't be beat. You literally roll out of bed and you are on the beach. There is a reservation system, so your chairs, towels and umbrella are waiting for you. The staff is also great. Gloria cleaned our room and was so accommodating. Odette in the main office was so nice and helpful. She even put up with my multiple calls before our arrival! If you are hesitating about staying here, don't. Go for it. You won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

Great Location but the Room is a GambleFirst take note that this location is actually called the Sea Crest Resort. The room we had was not as shown as it is in many online photos. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. It felt like a room filled with discards from other rooms. Three different themes at once. Curtains were not easy to open and close with a mix of tight pole pocket curtains on a rod that was too large and large grommet curtains that could not move because the sheer pole pockets were on the same rod in the way. Very frustrating to open and close and necessary in room 46 on the ground floor on the end unit where folks walking to the beach can look right in. Further to that, we paid for an ocean view room but the bushes were to high to see over to get the view. We only got peeks of it. The best part is the location of this hotel/co-op on the beach. The room, at least our room, was not worthy of the cost. It needs updating. I think its important to note these are privately owned co-ops presented as a resort, so I believe there will be inconsistencies in the rooms. They did a very good job with texting for contactless check in and check out and housekeeping services, considering our stay was during Covid-19 times.

Nope! Never Again!Needed a break from the mundane of Covid19. Booked a long weekend here. The oceanfront co-op looked enticing online. The room I thought I picked from photos was not the one we were assigned (#35). If I had known it wouldnt be the room I saw attached to the desired building in photos, I never would have booked it. We attempted to switch, but the only available co-op was just as bad. Front desk guy explained that the online pictured rooms are basically just a representation of the rooms they have. Doesnt mean you will get that one. Ugh! Really? The co-op we were stuck with is decorated in early 80s to 90s decor. It looked like a guy decorated it with mismatched garage sale items 20-30 years ago. Grace Jones disco era prints mixed with beachy themed stuff. The mattress was a pit of lumpiness. Im still in pain from this and exhausted from lack of sleep due to crappy mattress. The sofa and love seat are definitely from the 80s, also lumpy, you immediately sink down into the dirty cushions. I also felt itchy at times, but saw no bite marks. The kitchen and bath were both updated, not sure when, but tolerable. The best thing was the oceanfront view. Because it was so cold, we never sat on the beach and only a short time on the lanai. The price of this co-op was quite expensive. We pay for oceanfront when we stay in Key West, Ft Lauderdale, Charleston, the west coast. Ive never felt so taken as with this stay. This was our first time visiting overnight on the south fork and will be our last. Not sure what all the hubbub is about.
