  Mi mujer y yo elegimos este alojamiento para alojarnos 5 días de nuestra estancia en Rarotonga y salimos encantados. Buena ubicación, privacidad,fantásticas vistas a la laguna, precioso atardecer. Las villas están como nuevas y muy equipadas. Altamente recomendable!!!

  Sea Change Vacation

  We had such a lovely week staying here with airport transfers, complementary hire car and breakfast shopping all ready in the fridge waiting for us. It was simply devine to walk out into the water from our private patio or to kayak, SUP or just snorkel on the lagoon. The staff were very helpful in explaining and organising tours for us. We loved it so much well be back.

  Very nice accommodation BUT ONE MAJOR IRRITANT!

  Arrived and was greeted and also had a very nice orientation of the property. The room was very comfortable, clean, and convenient. We were impressed with our own pool, the access to the beach (a bit scum at low tide) and the kitchenette that was partially stocked. The straw that broke the camels back was the air conditioner that was programmed to shut off every three hours. The property is trying to go green and I appreciate the efforts. The issue was at night when the temperature was 80F and 80% humidity. I was awakened every three hours for 4 straight nights to turn on the air conditioner which had shut off. I contacted the front office and also talked to a maintenance man about the disruption and they said they were unable to change the programming. Are you kidding me?????Im trying to relax and enjoy my vacation. The day we left, I spoke to another visitor at the hotel and they said they didnt have the issue. Why were we the chosen ones? Would only stay at this place again if they would guarantee air conditioning at night!!!!

  Amazing

  This review is very late, apologies. I set up an account just so I could write this review. My parents and my husband and I were fortunate enough to stay at this place just before the lockdown on separate occasions. Loved it, just loved it. We hired a red convertible and zipped around everywhere. Loved the stainless steel quality kitchen equipment, we prepared fresh fish (fish shop next to airport) and fresh fruit (markets and street vendors) every day. It was just a really wonderful time. Some of the reviews mentioned traffic noise, we didn't hear anything, not sure how this is even an issue. You do however hear the waves crashing at night which is so peaceful and relaxing. We had a muddy outlook but the last day it all washed away revealing beautiful sands. The location is great, nice and peaceful, especially if you have a car. Drive up the road and you've got the Fruits of Rarotonga a lovely snorkelling spot. Drive the other way up the road (if you stand on the balcony and look to your right) is a passage and people do snorkelling with turtles there - so magical. They give you some complementary wifi and breakfast supplies. (My parents didn't know about the free wifi which is a shame as they aren't very computer literate and I had warned them before they went that there wouldn't be wifi based on other reviews) - this has obviously now changed. Loved eating breakfast and dinners on the balcony out the back - soooooooooooooooooo beautiful - and so many great eating options around the island in close driving proximity to the villas. Beverley, Stephanie and Craig were great. We are pretty sure we were one of the last Aussies off the island before the borders closed and Craig even offered for us to take one of the pillows in case of a long layover in Auckland. We didn't, but I should've as those pillows were lovely haha. Hope to come back one day. Thank you guys for a lovely holiday, we were lucky to get it in before lockdown :) Give Rufus a cuddle for me.

  Keep a close eye on your payment information

  We booked Sea Change for our honeymoon shortly before COVID-19 hit. We were unable to reach Rarotonga due to the fact that the Cook Islands closed their borders. We were aware of Sea Change's strict cancellation policy when we booked, but hoped they might make concessions considering the fact that we were not canceling because of our own choice, but because the island would not allow us to enter. Unfortunately, this was not so. They offered us the option to change our booking or be subject to a cancellation fee. We changed our booking for later in the year, but when the time came to rebook flights, nothing had changed. The borders were still closed, and flights to the Cook Islands were not available. So we delayed our booking a second time, and again, the borders remained closed and flights had not resumed. At this point, we finally decided on accepting a refund and Sea Change opted to keep 10% of our total payment as a cancellation penalty. They then made a mistake when typing in our credit card information and so the refund did not go through. I had to bring this to their attention. After this mistake, I thought perhaps they would issue the full refund as an act of good faith, but they did not. We still plan to visit Rarotonga for our honeymoon whenever Air New Zealand begins flying there again, but we will not choose Sea Change Villas for our lodging.
