Good timeI stayed there with my daughter who lives near that city, Owners were already known by my daughter and they have been very kind I cannot say that's a standard by I felt like in family, we received a very personal attention. Rooms are large and simple with a romantic atmosphere.

A pocket medieval village, a fine hotelWe hiked here from Sorano. We were the only guests for one night, then we noticed another room occupied on the second night. The room was generously sized including a small couch. Comfortable bed - decent pillows (hard to find these days). Good sized bath too. Great location for exploring the nearby necropolis. The Duomo at the end of the village is remarkable, with a GREAT bookstore. Breakfast buffet was quite good. Fresh fruit, pastries, cheese, smoked meats, yogurt and an egg if you wanted it. Traditional Tuscan bread has no salt. It was very off season when we visited! We had dinner 2 nights at the Taverna Etrusca. Hearty, generous cuisine from the region, very warm service. You get what you give as a traveller.

Warm hospitalityThis is a very cosy hotel with very warm hospitality and good location in this very tiny village. The rooms can be a bit damp smelling and have some damp patches on the walls with the age of the building I guess. The breakfast is very goo and the staff are excellent here. After a very poor meal at the Taverna Etrusca on the previous night, these lovely ladies came to our rescue and served up the most tasteful, delicious and flavoursome courses of food. I have to stress, you must eat here if you stay in this village.

Quaint little hotel in Sovana, ItalyThis hotel was the perfect place for us to stay during our friends beautiful wedding in Sovana, Italy. The rooms décor is minimal, but it fits with the overall feel of the village. I found the room spacious compared with other hotels in Europe. Everything was clean and functional. I especially enjoyed the view, which is one of the main streets in Sovana. The staff were incredibly helpful and helped us access our room, which was in a separate building from check in. Breakfast was a selection of meats, cheeses, bread and cakes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to explore Sovana.

Solid choice in this lovely villageSavona is a lovely village, quaint, peaceful but with restaurants enough for 2 nights. Stayed with my parents, them in a superior room and myself in a double for single use. I have to say the superior is not very different to a standard (fancier bed), if I was to recommend I would say for the difference on price choose the standard room. All rooms are plain but classic with good bathrooms. They are in my opinion due a repaint, lots of scuffs in the paintwork. A fresh coat of paint would really make a difference. Breakfast was good, fresh croissants, basic meat and cheese, juices, cereals and fresh coffee. Great location and great parking. We recommend the restaurant La Tavernetta for their wild boar main course and EehGia for the second night. We couldnt get the wifi to work unfortunately. Overall loved the village and would choose Scilla again, especially if the rooms were freshened up.
