  Nicely updated, comfy and clean

  Extremely friendly staff, very well located, spottlessly clean. The hotel is an old structure and we expected it to be aged and tired. That was absolutely not the case. The inside was refurbished and the rooms were smart and modern. Breakfast was good, Location is good, right by the Train Station, walking distance to several nice restaurants, shops and a couple of supermarkets.

  Great hotel

  We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were a good size. The bed wasnt terribly comfy tho, needs some decent pillows. There is a big wardrobe area and the bathroom is a decent size too. The shower was nice. The hotel breakfast was simple but yummy, best fruit salad Ive seen so far and i was excited to see Bircher muesli. They had scrambled eggs and bacon too. The hotel has a laundry,so you can do a load of washing for 5 francs, washing powder and dryer included. They also have a gym behind the sauna room but its pretty basic. The hotel is convenient to everywhere in Engelberg and Mt Titlis too.

  Nice and comfortable Hotel

  We spent 1 night in the Schweizerhof with kids & dog. The room was spacious. It´s a good place to stay and the staff was very gentle. Free WIFI. Parking for the car was also no problem. The breakfast room is big and the food choice for breakfast was a bit limited.

  Home Again

  Back to Engelberg and The Schweizerhof -- our home away from home. We visited October 10-12, 2019 while spending a month traveling in Switzerland. As usual, service was impeccable and we had a nice large room (with extra pillows - thank you, Adriano!). We love coming this time of year because it's quiet and most tours are done until December (most hotels close during November). It's always so nice to return and see the same smiling faces throughout the hotel.

  Excellent stay in this comfortable hotel

  We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a walking holiday. We were very pleased to be upgraded to a large corner room with balcony with modern decor. We couldnt fault the stay, everything including the customer service was excellent. We were on a half board arrangement and dinner was very good on both nights, it is a shame we were only there 2 nights and would happily go back in the future.
