  Fantastic skiing in Niederau

  We stayed at Hotel Schneeberger 14-18 Jan 2019, and cant fault the hotel. It is close to the lifts (<5 min walk), has a bank and pharmacy <1min walk away and Spar and a larger supermarket just a few minutes walk away also. No where is far away in Niederau. Christian and Sabina were excellent hosts, could not do enough for us. Breakfast is continental style, self serve, cereals, toast, buns, meats and cheeses etc, with boiled and scrambled eggs too. We stayed some nights half board and some just B&B. The HB is incredible value for money, 5 courses of Salad Bar, Soup, Starter, choice between 3 mains and then a dessert. We also had the meat fondue off the restaurant menu one evening which was fantastic and a lot of fun. The hotel was quite quiet so we had the sauna and steam room facilities to ourselves each night, and breakfast was very relaxed. The hotel bar is smokey (Austrians smoke indoors), and had a quiz night one night, and is open til 4am and beyond, drinking with Christian can get messy :-) From just outside the hotel you can also get the free bus to the other villages, <10 mins away, so can enjoy skiing elsewhere. All in all, would highly recommend Hotel Schneeberger, location, and food is excellent. Thank you Christian, see you again

  Highly recommended

  Booked an impromptu 3 nights at this hotel for me and my 2 daughters (skiing). On arrival, we found we weren't in the main hotel building but in an apartment 3 mins walk away. That was a result because it was even closer to the gondola. It was great. Modern facilities, great location and more space than a normal hotel room. Room was still cleaned every day like a normal hotel room (which was a pleasant surprise). Loved having that extra flexibility that came with having an apartment. Hope to be back next year for longer.

  small hotel with accessiblity issues ...Not a pleasant experience

  Stayed at the hotel while on a tour in a group. Complimentary Dinner was part of the deal. The dinner turned out to be a small bowl of soup and a chicken leg. Water when asked was charged 4 Euro for 700ml bottle. The restaurant is small with less staff. Breakfast was elementary and often most items ran out. Rooms however are good and bathrooms are clean. The view from the room is good. The most difficult part was carrying the luggage to the reception over a flight of stairs from the parking entrance.

  Lovely

  We enjoyed a two night stay here, the hotel was lovely, and the staff where very helpful. The breakfast was lovely and everything we needed. The sauna was great after a days skiing. I would be more than happy to stay here again

  except for the smell of smoke

  this was great value for money, wifi, nice decor room, small but suitable for needs. close to ski school and slopes. food okay. but the smell of smoke wafting up at night time through the corridors to the bedrooms was my overarching memory of this hotel. still i would return and hope that the smell or smoke wasnt as bad. rooms not that sound proof either could hear neighbours through the walls
