  Great Hotel & Restaurant!

  As I was attending a training in Spielberg, this hotel seemed like a good choice as it was only 10 driving minutes away from the Spielberg-Ring. We reserved a deluxe room, and as the hotel wasn't too full the girl at the reception managed to organise the wedding suite for us after we asked to see it! (the price for this upsell usually is only about 78 euros from a deluxe room - totally worth it i would say). The Suite and the deluxe rooms are newly furnished - the others old - so i would recommend to get a new one. The Suite was so nice, I was truly amazed at how modern and cool such an old "castle" could look. We also had dinner in the restaurant, and it was one of the best I've had in a hotel in Austria. There was a "Gianduja" dessert, which tasted great. 4 courses only cost 54 euros too, and that's a fair price for what you get. The breakfast buffet was really good too. All in all, me and my boyfriend loved our stay. I would 100% recommend staying there if you need something in the area.

  watch out!

  are you taller than180cm-watchout in some rooms, as the old castle was modified into a nice boutique hotel. unfortunatelly due to thickwalls, the door-frames are only 170cm.. the castle was really nicely upgraded, where in earlier days poor people were housing, today yeverybody can sleep from 85,0 per room/night upwards. Service personal and cuisine are good - the buffet for dinner and breakfast isn't that large, but plenty. if you have the 'luck' ofa room upstairs the lobby, it can be noisy from guys hanging outside the bar area - though - either join them or crawl into the bedsheets. the beds could be more firm, same as the pillow, but this is subjective - try for yourself. thanks Mr. Mateschitz for this nice Hotel!

  Upmarket schloss conversion with quirky decor

  The couple of kilometres leading up to Schloss Gabelhofen are rather unprepossessing, as you circle an industrial estate, but once you get nearer you realise what a fine building this is. The public areas are very grand (and possibly slightly intimidating), but the staff were extremely welcoming. Our room was enormous and well equipped, but I can imagine that the rather provocative artwork might not be to everybody's taste. The breakfast buffet was fabulous, as was evening meal - properly served by very professional waiters. Be careful with the apple sorbet in potato schnapps; they don't stint with the alcohol!

  Charming and cozy hotel

  I spent 2 nights in this amazing hotel. It is a real castle which has been converted into a stylish hotel while keeping its historical design and magic. Single rooms are very small. Check-in was fast. Breakfast buffet was super tasty. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

  Luxury near the race track

  We stayed for on.y one night when visiting the Red Bull Ring for driver training. The hotel is a converted castle and the old courtyard is now enclosed and where the reception is. Rooms are comfortable but small if you are in the top floor (and there are many changing levels so not that easy with cases to get to your room). Bed was comfortable despite being two single beds pushed together. Ensuite was what you would expect for a hotel of this standard. There is no kettle in the room though. Dinner and breakfast was very nice, with on-demand hot cooked dishes as well as cold buffet selection. Overall perfect stay.
