  Great relaxing Hotel

  Great hotel in the countryside 30 minutes from Schwerin. If you want a relaxing stay in a historical location this is the place to stay. Several restaurants in the complex, new SPA building and nice surroundings. Good service from the staff.

  Nice hotel for relaxation

  We stayed here with a group with classic cars. The hotel is in an isolated position in large grounds with a very natural layout. As a result it is very quiet. The room we had was very well layed out with all that was needed. Maybe the carpets with a thick pile were rather inpractical. Some of the soft furnishings ie chairs etc had stains. The breakfast was good and the evening meal (half-board) OK. The service at times was a bit stretched but always friendly. We would definitely recommend it and intend to return to explore the area more. The hotel is dog friendly and has plenty of doggy walks.

  Perfect weekend getaway, 5 star Bacon rating.

  As people have already commented on the grounds and how there are a number of walks and areas to explore, there is a different feel to each of the buildings. The old castle (schloss) has that old aristocat feeling, and staying in that building make you feel like you stepped back in time. The entire decor is well done, the staff are friendly without being overwhelming or always present. For some guest that want constant attention, this may seem like a let down but in my opinion it's better like this. The new buildings do have a more modern feeling but still blend well with the entire property. They have a few restaurants and the entire place is much bigger than it seems. The Spa is nice place to relax, though we never got to use the outdoor sauna as it was opening in the afternoon. I suppose they could have some more lounge area in the Spa but for us it worked out fine. We didn't actually use the pool so I can't comment on that. The food was very nice, the breakfast buffet is so well done for the size and space, there are so many options and such good food that you don't want to leave. The indication of a good buffet is how well the bacon is prepared, this shows the kitchen's attention to detail and the bacon has to be the most perfect I have had in any hotel. Each slice was done to perfection, 5 Stars!!, Food at the buffet was replenished often with fresh offerings. As for dinner the, we ate in the Schloss and enjoyed the 3 course menu. All was as expected and nicely done and presented, next time I would think of try ordering a la carte as the filet looked delicious. Would not hesitate to return or recommend this hotel.

  Convenient location close to Winstongolf

  We stayed here because of Winstongolf which is less than 15 minutes away. We booked a standard apartment (60m2) but were upgraded to the royal apartment (120m2), however we only found out at check out. The apartments are privately owned so every interior is different. Ours was a bit outdated but comfortable. The breakfast in the restaurant was 150 for 2 days for 2 people which I consider overpriced (however there is no other option nearby). The coffee is not to drink and if you want a cappuccino you pay 3 extra. Also the juices are not fresh. When we checked out, it was my birthday and I received a 10 voucher for next spa or restaurant visit. Because of covid19, the spa sauna and pool facilities were not fully available so we did not use them.

  Nice hotel

  Stayed here last week during interesting times and they handled everything really well and professionally and breakfast was arranged very well with social distancing etc lovely property and good rooms and lovely surrounding area, I managed to go for a run in the local woodlands in the evening
