On the trip to ItalyVery good place to stay with a family. Nice family managed hotel. Well located to the city centre with lots of restaurants. Enough breakfast buffet and not expensive. It's a secret tip to stay just before you enter the expensive Switzerland.

An absolute gemFamily owned guest house / hotel. We had a very warm and welcoming reception. Our room for 4 was spotlessly clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony. Breakfast was traditional and there was a great variety to meet the tastes of even the fussiest eaters. A 5 min walk into town and a number of great restaurants and a local winery can be found. We used this town as a stop over on route to the Jura.

Lovely place to stayWe stayed at the Hotel Schacherer for a week with a group of friends, motorcycling in the Black Forest. The hotel has large, bright, modern comfortable rooms, each with it's own balcony. Lashings of hot water even when a whole bunch of hot bikers arrive and want showers all at the same time! Breakfast is good, the young lady at reception remembered exactly how we liked our eggs and had them on for us as soon as we appeared. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. It was very hot when we were there and most rooms did not have air con, but we found we could get air through the room by leaving open our balcony door and the bathroom skylight. There is a little road noise on weekday mornings and frequent sirens on the main road in the day, but we slept well. The garden is very pleasant to gather in before heading off for dinner, or you can eat breakfast out there. Parking was no problem when we were there but we were able to park at least two bikes to one space so if all guests had cars, parking could be tight. Mulheim is a nice place to stay, the hotel has no restaurant but there are multiple nice places to eat within easy walking distance, plus banks, small supermarket, petrol station etc.

Delightful b&bThis is a delightful b&b with warm and welcoming staff, and cost sitting room and delicious continental breakfast. Thank you to the staff for an enjoyable stay! There is a small garage when you can lock up your bikes.

Friendly family run hotel, spacious roomsThe location of the hotel is good, close to main exit roads but quiet and at a walking distance from the historic town centre. All rooms have roll down shutters, most with a balcony. We visited several times and the rooms are always spotless and well maintained. Love the bountiful breakfast in the morning! Staff really makes you feel welcome.
