  Nice condo

  We stayed in a studio condo which was tastefully decorated, had a comfortable bed, and a really nice outdoor pool and hot tub! We stayed during the week in June, so it wasn't crowded. The condo seemed pretty sound-proofed as we didn't hear our neighbors unless we opened our door. It had plenty of dishes, but make sure you bring ALL food items, including coffee filters, salt and pepper, etc. (Most condos we stay in have some of these pantry items available.) We were allowed to bring our dog, but please note besides paying the pet fee, there may be additional fees for excess dog fur. Our stay would have been more comfortable if there was air conditioning as the temperatures were in the 90's. Overall, a great place!

  Definitely needs updating! The carpet on the stairs is dingy, dirty, and disgusting. We stayed in unit 301. Nice to have three bedrooms but the kitchen and living room area are very dark and hot. While we understand mountain locations normally don't have air conditioning it becomes a problem when the temperature is over 90°. Since you need the windows open at all times, it's really bad when people on the lower floors are smoking and the smoke comes into the bedroom windows making it impossible to sleep. They should make the entire lodge non-smoking! Unit is a little overpriced for summer rates and wouldn't stay there again.

  Lovely condo on the slopes above Steamboat Springs.

  The condo was a small studio, but perfect for two people and a dog. There was a nice kitchen, living area and deck overlooking the pool, hot tub and grill area. The Scandinavian Lodge sits up above Steamboat and was at least 5 degrees cooler than in the valley. We were excited to bring our dog, but be aware that not all of the condos allow dogs, so you have to find out if yours does BEFORE you book! When we found out that the condo we had chosen did not accept dogs, we tried to cancel the reservation through Booking.com. Although they tried to be helpful, they would not give us a refund as it was less than 30 days before we traveled. We finally called the Scandinavian Lodge and told them our dilemma . The staff went out of their way to accommodate us when we discovered that we had booked a condo that did not accept dogs. When we spoke to them on the phone, they arranged for us to have a dog friendly space.

  Great location and condos

  Love staying here. With about 600m walk to the nearest lift even my 5 year old is happy! Great hot tub, pool and communal area. Stunning views and quiet location, yet easy to ski down to ski school and the buzz of gondola square.

  Avoid Unit 101

  Pet friendly places are rare in Steamboat so you don't have many options. We have stayed at the Scandinavian for many years and generally found it acceptable but we would recommend avoiding unit 101 if you can. The sofa the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat on and bed is soft and lumpy with poor quality linens. The place seems pretty clean but there is a nasty water stain in the bathroom ceiling and whole place smells of mold.
