    Precioso y completo hotel

    Great for all ages

Large room, great view. Clean. Meals all buffet style. Gourmet meals in Gutshof Itterbach, Partner of Stern. Great atmosphere in cellar with bar and bowling. 5 minute walk from the ski piste and from the town centre.

    Mouse in the room!!!

There was a mouse walking through my room in the third floor. Its 3:50 am now, and I still havent slept a bit this night. I dont like the idea of mouse walking over me when I sleep! I saw the mouse at around midnight. Went down to the reception to ask for a different room. The hotel is officially booked out, sorry!!! And no more interest in resolving this situation. And just in case the reception staff cannot book the suites (which I offered to pay full extra price for, just because I need a little bit of sleep before the 12 hour drive towards the east I have tomorrow (actually today)) but simply coz only hotel management can approve booking of a suite, once again, no solution. But where is management of the hotel at midnight...? Lol, you guessed it. In their beds. I asked the receptionist to at least get the plastic pool chair for laying (sorry dont know how its called in English, basically that thing, people use to lay on when sunbathing). Of course, everything is locked and nobody can touch it or go there or simply anything. Brilliant. Sauerland Stern Willingen Upland has earned its stern star. I end up in a lounge, connecting two armchairs, to serve as my bed tonight. Btw (and this is not sarcastic) the kitchen is perfect. That team and cook there should get a Michelins star. Fantastic food, loving every single bite. But how can you guys not care about a guest who is asking for help, solution and you dont even care to stand up from the chair to look around to fix something for a guest who paid for the room. The receptionist is kind but anti-solution focused. Dear management, next time, could you please let me know about uninvited guests in advance? Thereby I can book few extra rooms so that the nice can hang out there and I can peacefully rest. I guess that is the original idea behind hospitality and hotel industry in general...? Maybe Im just so ignorant and again I missed the new trend in hotel industry. Sauerland Stern is a true Trendsetter. Hope the mice feels comfy, though. I wouldnt like it to feel any discomfort. Please, dont even entertain the idea of caring and helping your guests! That could set a bad precedence in this new era of rights equality. You dont want the mice to start complaining about guests sleeping in their beds... That would be a disaster!!!! Seriously guys? Are you for real? Take down those stars on your hotel!!! Hide them in basement because thats where they belong. Are you for real that I should wait the whole night until the management comes to work...so they can make their mighty decision? I guess someone has a hard time managing ...? You are a joke!

Food excellent, reception friendly - service terrible

Had shirts, trousers and suits for dry cleaning. It came back as if it went through a tumbler. The form says "Wäscheservice", well, what do you expect for a suit, surely not to be washed!!! The shirts not folded and ironed that looked as if a 4 year old had worked on it. trousers not ironed at all. If the waiters walk by - hold your plate, because they don't ask if you are finished. They pull the plate right from under your nose. It used to be great - have been here for at least 7 years, but this time it was worst ever. No safe, no water cattle in the room...
