  A good and recommendable authentic experience - Greece as we remember it from our childhood.

  The bubble rating is based on satisfaction level and not the level of the hotel. Saronikos Residence is a wonderful oasis only two hours drive from Athens Airport, (partially by toll road that will you cost around 10 euro). The hotel is perfect for families as it has a number of family sized apartments/bungalows. It is a fenced compound with direct access to a classical Greek stone beach. The beach is usually a bit crowded during the weekends as the beach is also a favorite spot for the local Greeks, however during the normal weekdays (even with a fully booked hotel) it is visited by only a few. Especially during the morning hours you might have the beach entirely to yourself. We were here in 2018 (the hotel was not on trip advisor then)and the place has stayed the same in 2019. Hopefully they will avoid making to many changes in the future as their current setup works (except for a needed update/refurbishment of the interior) The hotel has a great BBQ area (bring your own coal og brickets) and the apartments have kitchenettes making it possible to cook your own meals using local products (dont expect to much of the kitchenettes, they are small and offers only the bare essentials, toaster, coffee maker etc.) The service is good and the staff generally speaks good English and French (and Greek ofc). The hotel area is fenced and private. There is a parking lot allocated for each house inside the compound. The free Wi-Fi is horrible and terribly unstable. The coverage needs to be improved as well. The GPS coverage was for us also quiet bad. Bring some mosquito repellent if you wish to sit outside in the evening - the mossies are there, but they are not as aggressive the ones found in Scandinavia. The hotel is relatively secluded (which is part of its charm) and can only be reached by car. Beware that most GPS will take you down some very poor roads - read the terrain and use your GPS wisely and you will be able to drive on a tarmac road all the way (dont go on any of the dirt road, even if the GPS guides you there). The location of the hotel also means that you will have to shop before arriving at the hotel. The nearest area to shop will be in Loutra Elenis (37.8571800, 22.9982498), a small town that you will go through if you drive from Athens. Here you can find a well assorted supermarket and a local butcher shop. There is a small local cafe (a 2 min walk - (37.8411582, 23.1135214)not found in google maps or TripAdvisor ). The cafe serves a small variety of traditional Greek food (Greek Salad, Souvlaki ,fried Gavros etc.). Nothing great, but good value for money if you do not feel like cooking or driving to Loutra Elenis. If you contact the hotel directly, instead of using a booking portal, the hotel will usually give around 10% discount. This option requires a bank transfer though. If you expect luxury dont go here, on the other hand if you are used to apartments and taking care of yourself, Saronikos Residence is Highly Recommendable - and good value for money.

  Great family vacstion

  We spent 2 wonderful weeks in Saronikos. The beach near by and the pool were great and so were the simple but excelent facilities. We snorkle and swam and paited the cable stones on the beach. The kids and us were very happy. WIFI is week. Will surely come again.

  Idyllic family holiday

  We hired the whole facility with several friends and we all had an amazing week. Nothing was too much trouble and the location and facilities were perfect for us - families with small children. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

  Holiday in a special time

  For the third time in a row we were at this beautiful place. This time under special circumstances, the Covid 19 in the world. But also this year everything was perfectly prepared. The resort adapted perfectly to the situation and took all measures to ensure a relaxing holiday. We will come back and thank you for the warm welcome and a great time! Best Regards Rico
