  Where the swimming pool and the Italian restaurant?

  We had to change ou plans because we could not go to Harar due to riots. Our agent strongly suggested to skip this part of our trip. So, we had to find a nice hotel in AA. Somebody suggested this place because it has an Italian restaurant and a nice swimming swimming pool. Unfortunately, the Italian restaurant because the Italian chef left and the swimming pool out of service. Fortunately , the hotel was well placed and the room comfortable and clean. We complained about the two shortcomings and the manager allowed us to keep the room until 6pm. This was quite nice because our flight was at midnight and we could take a shower and get a light dinner before leaving. The restaurant was ok. We must point out that the breakfast was really good with a wide choice of food and juice. Their omelette were the best , by far , that we got in Ethiopia.

  Sara Maria is the best in town hotel in Addis great location ,service was out 100 , staff very professional and approachable and helpful, the food was Delicious they have excellent pastries at their coffee shop , rooms are very modern and specious , wellness center the spa was great .

  Good place to stay in Addis Ababa

  We stayed there 2 nights broken up into two stays throughout our trip in Ethiopia. We were a group of 17 travelers. I think most people in our group were satisfied with the hotel as were we. It was average I think. The rooms we had were clean and comfortable and came equipped with a hair dryer which was a rarity at most other hotels in the country. I had a good wifi signal once I was finally able to connect. The person at the front desk must enter your name into their system in order for you to be able to access the wifi and during our first stay, this took several hours to happen and several requests by me, but once connected, it was fine. In our first room, the shower/bathtub drain was horrible and it really never drained so by the time you were finished with your shower, the water was already very deep and took a very long time to drain. The service wasn't very good on our second stay as our room did not have any tissues or bottled water (which was supposed to be provided) and even after several promises to send them right up to our room by the front desk, these items were never brought to our room. The breakfast buffet was very good and one of the better ones we experienced during our time in the country. We also ate at the restaurant both evenings and the selection was decent and the food was good, although here too, the service was lacking and it took forever to get our food and then to get our bill. The location is within walking distance to a lot of different restaurants. I think it's a fine place to stay for a night or two but I'm sure there are other places that would be better.

  Average stay, poor service

  Non smoking room smelling smoke... they don't have a very good ventilation and most of the time when the kitchen is open you can smell all the food that is being cooked, waited for one hour at the restaurant to get the check and we never managed to get until next day. Ask the laundry service if their machine is working before you give your laundry, cause you will end up no to have your clothes clean and they will be wrinkled as well. and make sure to check out yourself way before your departure. It took us one hour waiting in th reception to settle our bill.

  Great location near to the airport

  We stayed here at the start and end of our trip. The hotel is very well run with WiFi throughout and comfortable rooms, although some are quite snug. The location is very close to the airport which is a plus as Addis traffic is appalling! Breakfast is extremely good, and I left a bag in left luggage for 3 weeks which was well looked after. Would recommend hotel even though it is a business type establishment
