    thank you for rescuing us

We were stranded in the Saporro airport with 100s of people and we called so many hotels for a room. The Garden Palace were amazing. They spoken English, called us back, made an extra bedroom with three beds available, very very comfortable, we called when we got lost... we were so stressed and in the end we were so happy and lucky to find this hotel. Stay there and enjoy it, it is a bit older but amazing location and exceptional customer service

value for money, relative large room

ok and good value for money, relative large room when you compare to Japan standard. services are very good, staff and hospitality are great. location is a bit problem, as it sits in between two stations: Sapporo & Odori. So you'll end up a bit walk to either station.

Great place to stay at (near Odori Park)

We chose this place because it was relatively inexpensive compared to other places during the Snow Festival. This place is within walking distance to subway entrances and Odori Park (Snow festival location). We requested a non-smoking room and the room did not smell like smoke. Hotel was comfortable. The beds were great, had a great uninterrupted sleep. There was no noise pollution. We could not hear any noise from the hallway, adjacent rooms, or from the streets. The liquid soap smelled great. The bathroom was a little bigger than Sunroutes (in my opinion). They have free wifi in the rooms. Staff speaks decent amount of English. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again for the right price.

Excellent Staff, Great Location, Clean Rooms

Stayed for two nights while snowboarding and seeing Yuki Matsuri. Staff were very accommodating, friendly, and always willing to help. It was interesting; before arriving, I called on several different occasions to confirm my reservation, but each time nobody spoke English. However, arriving at the hotel and throughout my stayl, there was always someone at reception who was able to speak English. Location is two blocks from Odori Park, where the main Yuki Matsuri festivities are held. Also a 10-15 minute walk from Sapporo Station in the other direction. Very convenient location. I brought my snowboard, so when traveling to and from the station, I decided to take a taxi, which was a reasonable ¥670 each way. There are also many restaurant choices around, so no way you'll go hungry. I received free breakfast coupons with my stay; the breakfast spread was very good with hot and cold items. The rooms were slightly larger than a typical business hotel in Tokyo or Osaka. It was nice to have a decently wide hallway to store my snowboard, etc. Rooms were a little dated, but housekeeping does a good job keeping them clean. Bed was uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. Bedding and pillow were great. For the overall price and considering I booked late through a third party internet provider, it was a great value. I would consider staying here again.

    Centrally located, good size rooms

Great location halfway between Sapporo Station and its shopping precinct, and Odori Park and the Tower. Easy walk to either. Staff were friendly and helpful, even flagging down a taxi for me which I haven't come across in other Japanese hotels. My room was huge, very clean, the window actually opened, a humidifier was provided, and the bathroom and amenities were very good. Lovely staff in the first little basement restaurant made me feel at home however the restaurant on the lobby level couldn't provide an English menu and the Japanese version had no photos so that was not particularly helpful. Well recommended hotel and I would stay here again.
