  Not 3.5, not 2 but 1

  The description Trip Advisor has is so wrong. This hotel is old, dingy and very musty throughout. I cant recommend it to anyone. Some reviews were positive so we booked for 3 nights. What a mistake! Sure it looks very interesting in its design but it is old and in poor shape. Decrepit windows that wont close or lock, no shower, cleanliness was debatable. We went to bed feeling grubby. Breakfast was extremely limited for anything other than Asian tastes. We stayed 2 nights (prepaid for 3) and left. Would have left earlier but no other rooms available in town that weekend. Finally moved to a nice modern hotel for less cost! Dont stay here. I now am concerned with Trip Advisor descriptions.

  Nice old building but a bit tardy

  Fantastic looking building from an architectural point of view. Old electrical wiring, stone and wood. Brass fittings in the bathroom. Like old times. Old vehicles etc to look at. We stayed for 4 nights but by then the wife wanted to move. Bathroom was functional, plenty of hot water etc but housekeeping was average. Sheets not changed the whole stay? Breakfast was rather average and they always ran out of plates and cups. Needs some new management to get the place spic and span. Bar is quite hopeless. OK for a night, that's about it. Average view. It was also quite warm at night and room didn't really get cool even with windows open. No aircons but that is normal for Dalat.

  Nice Place, good ambiance

  This is a nice hotel that had many special things. Staff are excellent, bed is very comfortable, nice service, cleaned and quite space. Good place for relaxing and reading. I and my friends will come back again.

  Charming, but I would not stay here again in the future.

  The initial room I was put in had not been cleaned properly so I was promptly moved/upgraded. The next room I was in was slightly (maybe 20%) better than the previous one, but still not great. The quality of the bed in the initial room was EXTREMELY poor. The upgraded room was better, but still not great. Interior design was charming, location was fine, staff was friendly, breakfast was subpar, no AC/heater in the rooms. I'm conflicted about this hotel because I believe it was made with a lot of care and attention to detail, but obviously the way it is being managed does not follow. I think a new hotel manager might be in order to return this hotel to its original glory. Charming, but I would not stay here again in the future.

  Heritage

  The hotel looks old colonial style with many antique artifacts. Most of the area were dirty nobody is taking care. The owner should hire a person to take care the beautiful artifacts, cars etc. its very rare pieces. We stayed for 2 nights but our room nobody clean it even we hang the signage outside our room while we go out almost half day from 13.00pm and came back to our room at 21.00pm. And when we mentioned then staff did apologize. Have many staff I saw but no one maybe do patrol the room, mostly I saw relaxing. Breakfast for two days only noodle soup and the same fruit. I believe that Dalat supplies fruit to most of the region in vietnam but here only served rotten banana and vietnam apple. Seem like nobody supervised staffs when working. I when out to buy fruit very cheap. Your hotel is so good but no quality in food and beverage as well as the service PS: I like your antique collection
