Ideal resort for families- one improvement suggested

Beautiful resort just a few hundreds mt from the lovely Monte Turno beach (disclaimer, be ready for a short walk in the burning sun) with small units scattered across a very well maintained Mediterranean garden. A nice swimming pool and a few sport courses complete the facilities. Our room ( 2 adults, 1 child and 1 toddler) was far from being huge but quite practical, with enough space for luggage and a small but clean bathroom with shower. Food is buffet style but really good, especially for lunch and dinner, while breakfast was quite underwhelming (good coffee but average pastries). There is a private beach and as of the third row one can take the place for free. The beach is super clean and the staff is helpful. They have a very friendly entertainment team with a well organized activities calendar, open to everyone but particularly suited for kids of 4/17 yo. What I personally found quite nice is that - as friendly as they are - they dont tend to force you in activities- which is sometimes the case in this type of resorts. Only improvement is the fact that they tend not to refill soap/shampoo etc, which is at the same time weird for a four star and annoying. At the end we always got the soap but needed to ask for it at the reception a few times during our stay or leave a message to the cleaners. Im all for being zero-waste but this is frankly a quite odd way of implementing it.

    Inconsistent

I'm really torn about this hotel. On the one hand, the facilities are obviously good, it's very close to very nice beaches and entertainment staff is very friendly. On the other hand, I really don't understand why you have to pay additional fees once you get to the hotel and even less considering they are mandatory - for example, one would think entertainment would be part of what you pay for when you pay for the booking!? It feels like signing a contract assuming the footnotes are harmless and you end up paying more than you think you are going to pay. Lunch and dinner were generally good. Wednesday night with Sardinian cuisine was probably the best. I found breakfast to be rather underwhelming though. On a side note, some hotel staff were surprisingly rude, namely at reception and in the restaurant. When we arrived, rather than being briefed about the way things work, the assumption was that we would probably find out for ourselves - not very professional... Also, not many speak or understand any language apart from Italian. Don't get me wrong, I am all for tourists making an effort to speak the local language, but I can't quite understand this being a problem in a hotel. Lastly, I find it unacceptable to be in 4 star hotel where I can hear literally everything of what is going on in the adjacent room.

    All-inclusive is definitely NOT

Iam writing this while we are at the resort. We think anyone considering booking this hotel as a all-inclusive deal should read on.. It's a lovely hotel in a great location and the rooms are very nice the grounds are well presented .the nice sandy beach cove is very close, All inclusive it is not. The hotels only beach bar is not all inclusive. The hotel bar is ALLL inclusive up too 10pm and very limited up till then .only beer (small) or lemonchelo. no wine no spirits not even local options. Shame it's the worst all-inclusive we have ever had. we allways go all inclusive..

The WORST all inclusive i've ever experienced!!!

I WILL START WITH THE POSITIVES....... A beautiful looking traditional resort. Rooms very adequate for our needs. A nice big comfortable bed. The cleanliness of both the rooms and the resort as a whole were to a very high standard. A lovely beach about a 10 minute walk away. As we were late night arrivals they did leave us 2 plates of food which i thought was a very nice touch. NOW FOR THE NEGATIVES......... Only beer or a choice of 2 local small alcoholic liqueur type drinks were free but that is up until 10pm and then we had to pay for them!! Given that wine was free when eating in the dining hall i cannot understand why it was not available for free at the bar either. ALL spirits and cocktails had to be paid for regardless of time or type of board. So the bar was open till midnight but all inclusive stops 2 hours before that. We could not get a coffee at the bar until 11am. No free bottles of water to take up to the room unless we paid 3.60 euros!!! The hotel advertises its own private beach with a bar for drinks and snacks but this too WAS NOT part of all inclusive and anything ordered was charged to our room. Also to use the first 3 rows of sunbeds at the beach would cost 2 euros. Swim hats were compulsary in the resort pool but guess what? we had to pay 2 euros for those too!!!! The staff were very unfriendly and rude, it made us feel as though we were an inconvenience to them (Marta was the only real exception) They all seemed to have a very unhappy and negative vibe towards us. There were no smiles or warmth, i have never experienced that from any hotel staff anywhere else ever and it felt really uncomfortable. We were so disappointed with our stay here. It's a lesson learned to scrutinise the smallprint as the term all inclusive really should NOT apply to this hotel. So at the end of our stay and having had to pay almost a 100 euro additional bill for things i would have expected to be free i will not be back and i will definitly not be recommending this place to anyone. Anything extra they could possibly charge you for then they did. Its pure money grabbing greed and we found that to be disgustingly poor !!!!

    Best holidays ever

Best holidays ever. Amazing hotel, delicious food, day entertainment amazing Giorgia is a wonderful dancer and sport coach. The singer was a muse and the yoga instructor an inspiration. At the Restaurant the food is delicious and the waiters are professional and kind especially Mario that was also friendly and sometimes hilarious. Caribbean sea , and I did a lot of snorkeling. The room nice and clean. I will recommend this hotel to anyone.
