  A little piece of Heaven

  Close your eyes and imagine the most stunning views, hills, beautiful olive trees. Then add stone cottages with pattios, spacious rooms and bathrooms. This place is amazing. The owner (Alessio) and his family are very attentive and just want to make sure that youll get the best holiday. We enjoyed the 5 course dinner every night at the property along with great Italian wine. Normally, we would have dinner at different restaurants when we travel, but the food is good here - homecooked by the family - and very flavoursome. No need to eat somewhere else. And the homemade pasta ... the best pasta Ive ever had. If you are lucky, youll get to taste mimosa cake made by Mama. What a treat. The property is near to lots of sightseeing and beautiful places. Just book and go. You wont regret it. We will be back next year.

  An amazing and wonderful retreat from the real world!

  Alessio and his family welcomed us like family members. We were pampered with food, drink and much laughter and friendship! The rooms were great as was the pool. It was wonderful to sit outside to enjoy the Assisi country side. Food was excellent!! We were sad to leave but know that we will be back in the future! Grazie Mille Alessio!

  Tranquil retreat with the most attentive and warm family

  This was our third visit to Santa Maria Degli Ancillotti in 3 years. We have been intoxicated by this peaceful luxurious retreat. Difficult to find alternative words for what has already been described. Wonderful location on hillside outside of Assisi. Beautiful, very comfortable rooms with air con and modern facilities. Gorgeous grounds and pool, including terrace where all meals are served in summer. If this was not enough, the real pull for our family is the Villa Family who welcome us as old friends and are so attentive and helpful. Dinner, cooked by the family, is a wonderful experience. Highly recommend and we will be returning!

  Relax !

  The ideal break with your family! Alessio and his family really make you feel very welcome, they are very attentive and professional. The apartments were big enough to host our family of four and the food is really tasting. Every day we could taste different regional meals and the cuisine is genuine and healthy. The property has a swimming pool: the water is fresh and clean and they also provide you the towels for the sunbeds. On the top of it... you have to try the outdoor jacuzzi... you will feel surrounded by silence and peace as well as in all the area where the property is located. If you want to have lunch there are plenty of restaurants, osteria and farm house you can find around. In this case make sure to have breakfast at the earliest opening time because Alessio will offer you a varieties of home made cakes and everything is so good that you cannot decline! It was so sad leaving...we want to come back very soon!! Good job!

  A wonderful and tranquil retreat

  We were recommended to stay by friends and it didnt disappoint! Alessio and his family are excellent hosts and they pay great attention to every detail. Rooms are comfortable and very well appointed. The pool area is super and breakfast and dinner delicious. We ate here 3/4 evenings but Alessio can also recommend and make reservations for alternative restaurants. Close by are the towns of Assisi, Spello and Todi all worth a visit, as is Lake Trasimeno. We cant recommend the place too highly and we plan to return to walk the full length of the aqueduct from Spello.
