  Fabulous place to stay

  We stayed here for four nights, exploring Whitstable, Herne Bay, Canterbury, the Medway towns, Chartwell and Eltham Palace. It suited our requirements down to the ground. Its.about 7 miles south west of Faversham in pleasant countryside and is very quiet with no passing traffic, and its far enough away from the M2 and the M20 not to be bothered by them either. To get access, the final mile or so is over high sided narrow country roads which might not be everyones cup of tea. The rooms are a fair size and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of choice. It is served in an adjoining kitchen which you are free to use at any time, which for me was useful in storing my diabetic stuff in the fridge. The owners work on site in various craft activities in the forge which you can see if you are so inclined. They are very friendly. The nearby villages of Doddungton and Newnham can just about be walked if you are prepared to risk walking along the narrow roads. There is a pub at the former. We usually went further afield for our evening meal, the Railway Arms in Faversham was one we particularly liked. All in all, a lovely holiday and for us a good choice.

  Incredible

  From the minute I booked this place I had a good feeling about it. Kate sent me directions and was very friendly during our conversations. At the property she personally walked around the room showing everything, rather than just pointing you in the direction. The bed was very comfortable. And the breakfast, oh that breakfast. Seriously I would stay here again just for the breakfast. SO many options and everything was delicious. We had a very busy day out and the food kept us going literally all day. I can't wait to come back and stay again. What an absolute gem of a place. And we did't even see the forge so I have to come back!

  Lovely B&B

  We booked for a long-weekend and were not disappointed; the room was very comfortable, spacious and well equipped in this beautifully quiet and picturesque small village location. Breakfasts were really delicious and had the best choice of options that we'd come across (including 'free from'). Host Kate was lovely and went out of her way to be informative and helpful (even watered the plants that we'd purchased and left outside).

  Great B&B and lovely, kind hosts!

  The room was lovely, clean and very comfortable. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and also gave us advice in terms of where to visit / eat locally. The breakfast was delicious too. Overall, a fantastic stay!

  What a breakfast!

  We stayed here for one night during our walking holiday. The room was lovely and cosy after a hard day. The breakfast was amazing and set us up really well for the day. Beautiful location. Thank you Kate.
