  Loved Sandcastles!

  We have just returned from a week long stay in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom spa apartment and it was fantastic! We travelled as 4 adults, 2 kids (6 & 1) and this was perfectly suited to our needs. The apartment was spacious and split over 2 levels with a massive deck with BBQ, spa, dining set and comfy lounges on the top level with beautiful water views. It was so well equipped. We had absolutely everything we needed in the kitchen and there were lots of children's toys. The furniture was stylish but still practical and comfortable, beds included. 2 parking spaces were provided and the check in process was seamless. We also hired a high chair for a small additional fee. Location wise, everything was easy to get to, pub, cafes and restaurants a short walk to the right and a large shopping complex with a Coles and great butchers a few minutes to the left. There is a lovely park and water to swim in across the road. The pool was lovely, safe and very clean. I had booked this stay many months ago and about a month before we were due to travel, we noticed some pretty bad reviews online which made me nervous. Rather than cancel on a knee jerk reaction, I called the office and spoke with a lovely manager and was upfront about being a bit worried about what I had read. She was so reassuring and understood that I had booked this accommodation on behalf of my family who were visiting us all the way from the UK for the first time, and I just wanted everything to go well. I am so glad I did that and was so happy with the choice of accommodation. Great value and we have made some lovely memories there!

  REALLY DIRTY APARTMENTS

  If you are looking for the worst place to stay this is it.... More than disappointing!! The DIRTIEST PLACE I have ever seen.. dirty walls, rusty toilet brushes, stained carpets and rugs, marks all over the walls, patios disgusting, curtains falling down... you name its really bad. Even management are appalling.. really unprofessional all rounds the pits of the Gold Coast..

  Great location

  We stayed here for a week and found it to be satisfactory. The 2brm apartment we stayed in was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful and our kids loved the resort style pool - especially being able to have night time swims as the pool is open until 10pm which is great. The BBQ facilities by the pool were great and always clean. There's many restaurants within walking distance and just across the road is a playground and swimming lagoon. I would probably just mention a couple of things things that were disappointing such as the furniture in our apartment was desperately in need of replacing - couches were worn and overall just very outdated and unappealing. There was air conditioning in the lounge/kitchen area but not in the bedrooms and no ceiling fans either - they had provided a couple of pedestal fans which were very old and you could barely feel any air from them, it made for a very hot night. Lastly, and just a small thing - it was unusual that there wasn't a soap dish in the shower so you had to just put the bar of soap on the floor which I find to be a bit gross and I feel that this wouldn't be expensive to just put one it - sometimes just the little things can made a big difference to a holiday.

  Wow!! Fabulous!!

  We spent Christmas at Sandcastles On the Broadwater with extended family in unit 330. The unit was newly painted and had new furniture which was lovely. There was toys for the kids, the beds were comfortable and the view from the 2 balconys second to none. The top balcony has a BBQ, spa and second fridge so you dont have to go downstairs for cold drinks!! The kids loved the pool and the playground across the road, a half a beer walk to great restaurants and fresh seafood across the road. The staff are lovely and accommodating and we had a terrific week. We will definitely be booking again!!

  Not to bad , room could do with some TLC

  Stayed for 4 nights , resort is really nice and perfectly located, pool and spa were great . Grounds really nice and looked after . Only downfall was the room , it needed a lot of TLC , needed a really good paint job , carpets looked dirty particularly near skirting boards , dining chairs very uncomfortable to sit on and hardly any room decor to make it feel homely , kitchen was good but shelves in door of fridge broken so was unable to put anything in the door which made it difficult when it come to milk and stuff that leaks a little when laid down on the shelves . Used the ironing board and it was so stained , the cover needs replacing ! The room not very sound proof could constantly hear people going up and down the stairs ( at all times of day and night ) and constant thumping from apartment above us and beside us . Mattress on bed was very basic and found a bit uncomfortable , roof fan in bedroom sounded like a jet engine when switched on so didnt use it which with no aircon in there room was hot . Despite the room did still have a good stay but would request a much better room to stay in next time
