    Fun beach trip.

The condo was spacious, clean and well appointed. The view was excellent! Beautiful fluffy white sand beach, clear water, pier for shade, nice pool. Good location to restaurants and stores. We were on the 5th floor with a clean set of stairs and elevator.

Excellent Vacation - Excellent Help & Service.

A wonderful holiday experience.... Being just my wife and I, our visits to the Gulf Blvd can be very flexible. Usually, we phone ahead to several Condo resorts to check availability, but only book & pay for something after visiting them and taking a look at what your getting. The On-Site staff at The Sand Dollar were a pleasure to deal with. Special thanks go out to Barbara who went beyond the normal realms of service to meet our needs. Condo # 306 was beautiful. We will be back again soon.

Great Resort BuT Some Owners Are Difficult

Buyer Beware Room 107! My family has been staying at the Sand Dollar for almost a decade. By family, I mean my siblings and their families, my parents, aunts and uncles and cousins and their families as well. All total, we have around 30 people each year. As our families have grown so has the need for additional rooms. We were so excited to all be located on the first floor this year. My sister and brother had this room booked for their families and my parents and my family are staying next door. My sister recently had a baby and we had planned to help her as needed so she can enjoy her vacation too. Our rooms were booked on April 10th for our vacation next week (October). Imagine our disappointment, when my sister received a call today (Sept 26th) letting her know that the owner of this property did not want her family in the room due to the number of children and their ages (4 children and 4 adults) and the Resort has "upgraded" her room and moved her on the 4th floor. The owner has since changed the occupancy to 6. Highly disappointed in how this owner runs things. Switching to another floor would not have been a big deal in May when additional rooms were still available and someone else could have switched with them so my siblings weren't sequestered by themselves. We are not rowdy people and have a good track record at this location. We may stay at the Sand Dollar again next year or may look into a location. When booking be aware that your reservation only guarantees room type not actual room. The Sand Dollar is generally top notch but this experience has left a bad impression. ***Review updated 10/04/19***After dealing with staff of the Sand Dollar and JC Resorts we were finally able to work out a solution that was satisfactory. I can't say enough good things about the Sand Dollar in general - that's why we stay there year after year- but I won't book Room 107 in the future nor will I recommend it to family and friends.

    Great family condos, but noisy

My wife and various members of our family have been staying at the Sandollar for many many years. The staff is very helpful the condos are very nice. there are two issues that seem to irritate us when we are there. The first is the condo building has only one elevator which becomes very hard to call particularly on weekends when people are coming and going and dinner hour. The second is that every time we have been there there is renovation of individual condos and or the building itself. that doesnt sound like a big deal until you have a guy running a tile chipper above below or next-door to your unit. one time they were using chippers to scale the bottom of the parking deck ceiling. It seems theres always someone renovating a kitchen bathroom etc. if youre planning on sitting around the pool quietly relaxing or reading a book these all day are a real irritation. The lawn maintenance people have never heard of electric powered tools, they seem to prefer the loudest gas units. Sitting around the pool listening to a hedge trimmer, lawnmower or edger 10 feet away is not relaxing. I have a suggestion for the owners , Pick your slowest month out of the year and have all renovations to the building and individual units done that month and dont book renters. Further require that your maintenance contractors use electric tools. The cost of the stay and associated fees should buy a person a little peace and quiet since they come here to relax and enjoy their vacation. .

Staff showed favoritism to another family and refused to refund my $

    1. When I made the complaint to Annette about the loudness of the children in the unit above our unit, 103, I was told that JC Resorts had never had a complaint about that family. They were dropping things, moving furniture from 3:47 a.m. until after 11 p.m. on 9/27/2020. 2. I had to call Pam at 11 p.m. on 9/27/20 to get her to contact this family. They continued to move furniture (loud dragging sounds) even after Pam called them. I mean, did I need to call the police and press charges for creating a disturbance, acting in a disorderly manner, and violating noise ordinances? 3. By my estimation, JC Resorts owes me $60. I want my $60 immediately. I will not be back to anywhere where JC Resorts because you showed favoritism to that family over my husband and myself. I will make a review with the Better Business Bureau. Unit 102, which we finally moved into on Monday, 9/28/20 was cheaper than the 103 unit. 4. I will no longer recommend your resort and I will NOT be back. You are completely unprofessional.
