  My Bike Week home.

  I am a "Bike Week" owner of an efficiency/studio. There are eight ocean-front units that sleep FOUR (including children and infants) on 2 floors (no elevator) at the heated pool, each with a private enclosed patio. NO PETS! Specific smoking areas. Grills, plenty of lounge furniture, tiki tables and chairs on the pool deck, a wading/kiddie pool. I wake to the sun rising out of the Atlantic across the pool into the sliders to my bed. There seems to be several layouts for the studios, but my view from a downstairs studio is like the photo shown here. There are only 20-something? units in the complex on 2 floors. The non-waterfront units sleep 6 with one or two bathrooms, 2 beds in the bedroom and a Murphy bed or sleeper sofa in the living room. (There's been a lot of updating and new furniture recently, so I can't speak to specifics at this time.) Most have a view of the ocean and all have free wifi.~~~This is all based on my visit last year....They are constantly updating and improving the property. It's aproximately 5 miles from the Pier at Main Street and the Convention Center. Definitely pay attention to the SPEED LIMITS in the Daytona area. There's LOTS to do and see. A beautiful drive up to Flagler or St. Augustine along the ocean.~~The Staff has been AWESOME as long as I've been an owner (many years) and because the compound is small, one can feel comfortable traveling alone as the staff knows who belongs and who doesn't and this provides a sense of security and safety.

  Time to slow down

  A great place to unwind and enjoy the relaxing effects of the beach and ocean. If you're needing a place to leave the hectic pace of life behind, this is a wonderful option. Incredible sunrises and sunsets start and end each day.

  Continued Disappointment

  Well, my family has had a Time Share with Sands and Surf for years...and I mean YEARS! As a kid, it was great - to be fair, I was oblivious to what "service" was. Maybe it was good, maybe it wasn't I don't really know. But now? Nope...no way, no how. I wouldn't take a Time Share here if it was given to me. I honestly don't even know why my family is still going here. I would imagine there are better places with better service. Anyways, let's get on to why it's so bad - The people who own the place don't care. Let me explain. I came down for a few days because my family had a week there. Stuff that was broken LAST YEAR is still broken. Now, not like railings or big things... small things; base boards, cracks in ceilings, lights out, etc. When you tell the best thing you get is an "ok, we will take care of it." Obviously not, because the same issues are an issue. We pulled out one of the murphy beds for my dad to sleep on and the mattress had an obvious pee stain that was fresh (because it still stank to the high heavens). We told the front desk and their response was "Well, we will just throw some odor-rid on it. We don't want to replace it because we are getting rid of those beds." AND??? So we should just ignore it? Why couldn't they at least come and get rid of it? The grounds are old and need replacing - I really don't know what else to add that isn't said up there. I also don't know what they spend their money on that they get from customers each year. They added a cute rope light to the railing. Also, there are two lolly columns holding up the upstairs balcony that seems like it is going to come crashing down any second. I am almost sure that it isn't up to code. Was it inspected? Who knows. Could it kill someone? More than likely. The rooms are bleh - mold in the showers, stained floors, dirty carpets that leave your feet and socks BLACK, tiny kitchens with broken burners, and the list goes on. Honestly, I could go on for another hour, but hopefully, you get the point. If you see this place KEEP DRIVING!

  Nice but dated, could use upgrades!

  The staff here was very considerate & helpful, as before. It was nice to be right on the beach for walking & biking. The walls must be thin & uninsulated as we could hear noise coming from another unit's TV every night, so had to turn on the fan to drown it out. We noticed that all the appliances were functional but very low end quality e.g. stove, AC/heater, shelving, toaster, can opener, hair dryer, etc. The outdoor air was cool but the pool was warm enough for a swim. Towel exchange was fine, check out quick & easy. Considering the age & size of this resort & 2 others nearby, and all the high rises flanking them it's hard to believe these 3 will be around much longer. I prefer these low rises and easy access to vehicles rather than the glitzy high rise condos & hotels.

  Awesome place

  Our stay has been pleasant. Friendly staff, very near to ocean, clean. Love to go back! Wifi is good. Nicer pools. Its a smaller property considering taller buildings on both ends but you cant beat the homely feel.
