  Hostel rather than hotel

  Our family of 4 - parents and two young sons (4&7) had 3 nights here. The rooms are small, curtains are thin, the breakfast is Asian and the towels are small so many are needed. But the staff are friendly, the grounds are great for relaxing in, the washing machine super helpful and theres a plentiful supply of water - although sadly its in small plastic bottles rather than a filter system so lots of rubbish created. The location is good, and we hired an electric scooter to get around. All 4 of us on one bike was fine and certainly needed to have the flexibility around the island. The dive shop next door is a good option too! The whole place needs updating but for the space around it, its not a bad place. Accommodation over the whole island seemed very expensive so for semi budget, this is a good option.

  First time here

  Traveling along the coast and took a ferry to green island. We were picked up by hotel staff at the port and brought to the hotel. Very friendly helpful staff. Reasonable rates for the time of year. Rooms were clean and the beds were good. We were able to rent scooters right at the hotel. Its a 5 min walk to a dive shop. My only complaint is the walls are pretty thin and you can hear your neighbors

  Simple, Clean,Comfy

  Its not fancy. Clean spacious rooms. The mattress was super comfy and Im fussy when it comes to the bed. The owners are very friendly and provided good service. I liked that you could rent a scooter right from there for cheap and walk to doors down to 9 Bar to go diving which is right across the street from the ocean. Everything was so convenient. Great trip all around.

  Basic beach hostel accommodation with a great view

  Sanasai Inn is a good basic backpacker accommodation option on Green Island. Yes, if is outdated, but if weather is good, youre not in the room much. Pros: - View of Taitung, the ocean and sunset literally outside - Staff speaks good English. Not everyone speaks it but most do - Located outside of the Main Street so there is no loud evening noise or traffic outside - Bed mattress is thin but pretty comfortable and the bed units are so tall, you can stand in them, and offer good privacy - Air con comes in to the beds through a vent, awesome! - Plenty of showers - Electric scooters are available for rent. Fair price. And they are new and very easy to ride. Really enjoyed them - They will pick you up and drop you off for the ferry Items to be aware of: - It is not near the Main Street so without a car or scooter, its about a 20 min walk - The entire lodging is run down. It needs major updates. Its not uncomfortable or unclean, but old. Especially the kitchen and bathrooms. For the cost, I wish it was a tad nicer - Only one western toilet, so that is always taken - Breakfast is toast and spreads and coffee. None are great. But if you dont want to walk in to town, thats an option - WiFi doesnt have an official network and it seemed a little shady to use. But if you need it, its available - The dorms are right by the lobby and reception so it gets LOUD. Reception opens at 8am but it gets loud starting at 6-7am. Not great - Rooms are small, especially the four bed female dorm. There is no real luggage storage and gets very crowded quickly if its full Considering this is a beach place, none of these were major dealbreakers for me, especially with the rise in domestic tourism due to Covid. If youre looking for a place and this has an opening, its not a bad option, but just go in eyes wide open. For a night or two, its not bad. But if weather is bad, I probably wouldnt want to hang out here for a prolonged period of time.

  Average hostel with a good view

  After all promising reviews it was a little bit disappointed to be honest. The facilities were fine, room quite clean but everything a bit outdated. Breakfast just simple as all hostels in Taiwan so far. We were unlucky with the weather for two days so was not much to do than staying in the room. Bathrooms and toilets are outdoors which makes it a bit annoying in the rain. Also bit outdated but fine. Good thing you can rent scooters from the hostel, although they are very strict on time. We couldnt keep them a bit longer in low season to get around in sunshine before we left (9 AM). They could have been more loyal is what Id expect, especially since the location is perfect with a scooter but highlights a bit far to walk too. Rest of the service was okay but nothing too special. the pick up service from the harbour (2 min drive only) was nice . Descent stay but too me nothing too special after theyre not really trying to be helpful in our situation.
