    AVOID AT ALL COSTS

We stayed here for four nights, and had an awful time. The staff were unbelievable rude from the very start, so when I went to go and complain about the actual water flooding in my room he laughed and said theres nothing they can do. The hotel isn't nice. but its the staff that make this place so utterly grim.

    Not Disappointed Not Amazed

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights in September for a quickly holiday. We booked last minute and this was one of the cheapest hotels that was located close to the beach and town. The location of the hotel was great. Down a little path you could walk to the beach in five minutes. Forio beach was beautiful and you could choose between paying for a sunbed on the beach or stay in the free section. Close to the hotel along the beach were quite a few restaurants to choose from. A 15 minute walk from the hotel will get you in the main part of Forio with more shops and restaurants. Although we never swan in the pool it looked very nice and a decent size. The area was kept clean, there were plenty of sunbeds an outdoor shower and some tables and chairs under cover nearby. The hotel was clean but definitely looked 'dated'. Our room had two single beds put together to make a queen bed, another single bed, closet, desk, two bed side tables, TV, balcony with a small table and chairs and bathroom. The room was clean but everything was very old and needed replacing, i think the TV was from the 90's. The bathroom had an open shower with no curtain so a shower made the whole bathroom floor wet. The staff were friendly enough. They didn't seem to go out of there way to help but if you had any questions as we did about directions and buses etc they were helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good for a free breakfast. Range included toast, spreads, cold meats, some pastries, muesli, yoghurt, juice etc. There was free wifi which worked in the reception / dining area. Overall the hotel was okay for the price but not worth anymore. A few cosmetic changes would go a long way.

Good value for money, a little bit dated but works well, clean and tidy, lovely sunsets

This hotel is in a great location, 5 minutes walk to a nice long sandy beach with both public and private zones and good restaurants. Overall this hotel represents good value for money. The hotel is rather dated, but works well, clean and tidy. The staff are very pleasant, albeit overworked! Breakfast was lacking in variety and imagination, but again not bad value for money. Pool was excellent, very clean and the fresh water was cool and refreshing. Plenty of sunbeds, chairs and umbrellas around the pool. There is a pathway from beside the pool to the beach. WiFi is only available in the lobby area and was pretty dismal in terms of speed. Aircon in rooms works fine. Bed linen always fresh and clean.

    Very dissapointing, doublecheck before booking

Just arrive to this hotel. We ordered room including balcony with a view to a mountain or a garden. There are some photos what they think a garden looks like. Garbages, old furniture etc. Also there should be hairdryier but there is none. We tried to switch rooms, but they were not trying to solve the issue. The only suggestion was to pay extra 140 to get a seaview. We never expect ***** hotel service and room when booking *** but this case has shocked us. We prefer to get at least what's promised. So if You decide to come here You better ask what You get in advance, because it is not always true what the ad says.

Very budget hotel, location is good, but not perfect.

Stay here in July 2018. First impression was not good. Booked 5 nights in advance half of year. In some reason, we did not get a room here when we come. But we were lucky, when manager send us to another one, 4* hotel. Thank so much for that! We spend 4 wonderful nights in hotel Villa Carolina and only 1 night here. Now I can compare two hotels. This location is not perfect. Far away from the central beach, 10 min walk to nearest beach by short trail. But central beach is more beautiful, if compare both. This location is close to botanical garden. Wonderful possibility to visit that English style park. About food. Only one restaurant we found around, good for lunch - Restaurant de Sciavica. Other eatable places hours was not work for us. There is a grocery supermarket nearby, 5 min walk. To get this hotel - we used local bus from main Ischia port. (1.5 euro ticket). The bus stop is nearby, 5 min walk. You can use the same bus to travel throw the island. We used once only to get Poseydon thermal park. Other time was very hot outside and we prefer steyr close to beach. Breakfast was good in both hotels. Enough food if you are not picky.)) Anyway, there is nice view from this hotel to mountain, we really enjoy to look. Kids like the big ourside pool of hotel. Plenty seats around. But it closed at 6 pm, what made us little upset. I really wanted to cool down before sunset. Stupid rule. Condition of our room was terrible. Honestly, like in 2* hotels. Shower doors did not work well, and balcony sun-screen we could not open at all.... Only one plug for family in bathroom.)) Nosy from corridor, if some one walk and talk at night. Stuff is good. They try to be helpful, but English level is might be better. I decided, next time I will book the hotel Villa Carolina directly, or other hotel close to old town of Forio. Other part of town is more pleasant and more restaurants there.
