  Mountain biking trip

  Comfortable hotel, very friendly staff. Food was only average but catering I suspect to what a lot of people wanted. We chose to go into town and explore the many restaurants on the front. Excellent base for mountain biking. Used the uplift service to the former NATO base a few times at 10 each. Bikes secured in a well lit basement with work stands and track pumps. Using GPX files for routes advisable as the maps are unfathomable. Recommended.

  Mountain bike holiday

  This is possibly the best place to stay for any serious mountain biker. The attitude and helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. Our cycling kit was cleaned and ready for the next day free of charge. Uplifts offered to some of the best trails I've ever ridden. Breakfast was very generous, which included cereals, cold meat and cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon, endless coffee, cakes and croissants! Close to the beach and local restaurants and some quick Mtb loops. Bike storage is well managed with good security. The train station is quite close and could be a problem for light sleepers but really this would be my only fault of this hotel! Love this place!

  Great place to stay

  The staff were wonderful and so helpful. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the train station and a ten minute walk to the beach. The swimming pool is small but very clean and usually quiet. It is a very family-friendly hotel with a special time at the pool for children around 5pm. We were able to rent bikes there and the rooms are very clean. It is an unusual building as it was a convent but this adds to the charm. There is air-conditioning in the rooms. It is close to the station so you can hear trains sometimes. However when windows are shut this is not a problem.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

  A wonderful stay

  This was our second time to stay here and we were not disappointed. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the breakfast is good. It is very convenient to the town, shops, beaches and train station. The building is an old convent so it has great character and is very family friendly. Although we were not there with children, we could see how well children are catered for. A nice small swimming pool is an added bonus. A bit of a climb uphill but everywhere is in this area.

  Fantastic hotel for bikers

  Great friendly staff who really went out of their way to help. Ample garage for bikes, free washing of bike gear, decent breakfast and location is central. Bike uplift in the mornings. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon I hope.
