  Resist the urge to buy a timeshare week

  The rooms are nice. The location is nice. But if you are thinking of buying a time share week you should know that this is a very poorly run organization. There are three different management companies involved, and none of them knows what the others are doing. The way you told to make a maintenance fee payment is you receive a statement that your account is delinquent, threatening penalties and loss of access. There is no single point of contact to resolve problems. If you contact customer service you get a sales pitch for RCI membership and upsells to other resort locations managed by the same company. There are a lot of foreclosed units.

  The Cove at San Clemente

  Great location. Restaurants are close by along with cute ships and grocery stores. Rooms are very comfortable. The staff is outstanding. They go out of their way to assist you. Walk to the beach and pier. Underground parking is really important when you are that close to the beach.

  Delightful condo

  Perfect location,clean and an awesome view Restaurants are within walking distance The beach has a great great walking trail There are many shopping areas that one could walk to. I would recommend having a car. The condo was very clean and had most everything you would need in the kitchen. It was a one bedroom but could easily sleep 3 or 4 people There is a discount mall within a short drive will Many popular stores of all types for all ages

  Best Location

  Cant beat this place for its location and amazing beach sunset views. The Cove is less then 100 yards to Fishermans Restaurant on the San Clemente pier. Plenty of other very nice restaurants within a five minute drive. Easy access to the beach and railroad crossing where you'll fine clean sand beach and well maintained walking trails in either direction. Shannon and her staff are on top of everything, keeping the resort supper clean. If you need a umbrella, chair or boogie board, they have several things like that to check out. The suite are equipped with a scaled down kitchen with everything youd ever need while on vacation. Each guest receives a clicker to the secured parking area. Got our next stay booked already.

  Great place, first time here and we'll be back

  Great staycation get away on our 33rd anniversary. Stumbled upon this place while searching for a beach hotel near Laguna. The travel site said it was rare to have a room available here, there was only one unit available, so I quickly booked it for a couple nights as a suprize for my wife on our 33rd anniversary. We were a bit concerned about traveling and safety with Covid 19 pandemic still going on, and the description said they take extra precautions here. All staff wear masks and there are big bottles of hand sanitizer everywhere. Inside our room was a free kit that includes a sterilized mask in a cellophane package, nitrile gloves, and small bottle of hand santizer. On the entrace door is a "sanitized and sealed" sticker on the door jamb, same on the dishwasher, and when opening the dishwasher it let out hot steam so I knew the dishes were practically sterilized. The one little glitch upon beginning our stay was that our unit [number 202] was leaking water like a sieve from the ceiling fan/light fixture .I called the front office, who said maintenance has already left, but sent up someone from housekeeping [Berta] "Berta was a big help, she mopped up water with towels and said she would explain to the office that this is much worse than just a drip. The personnel was apologetic and said the property is booked solid except there is one unit available for only tonight, but you'll have to move back to 202 tomorrow after maintenance can repair the leak. So they moved us upstairs to unit 309 which had a glorious ocean view of San Clemente pier and beach from the balcony patio. The unit was spacious, has a full fridge, small stove, microwave, sink, and dinning area, plus patio chairs and table outside. Living room has a couch, two comfy chairs, flat screen TV and a gas fireplace. The separate bedroom has a queen bed, and another flat screen TV. We walked across the street directly to the San Clemente pier and strolled hand in hand, watching surfers, watching fishermen, nodding hello to other couples. We were a bit disappointed that we were one of the few who wear masks when out in public, but at least we were outside and at safe distances from people. We brought food and snacks so went back to our place and had fruit, cheese, and meats al fresco from our patio as we watched the beautiful sunset. Back inside there is no air conditioner so we had windows open and fans kept us at comfortable tempature. At night the sounds of ocean waves lullaby us to sleep. The next day around noon we were informed that our original room has been fixed and someone who booked 309 many months in advance will be checking in, so we moved back to 202, which didn't have a full ocean front view, but the partial ocean view was still nice and we walked all up and down SC State Beach so we got to see it all up close anyway. There is a small store and a few eateries down on the street level, we had pizza and pasta from Costentinos which was good, and we used a coupon at the Gelatto place which delicious. This was our first stay here at San Clemente Cove Resort, and it wont be our last, I highly recommend it to others.
